I tried to read this book but kept going to sleep. Finally read a couple of other books and tried this one again just to be fair but still couldn't even fake an interest. This is probably the only book I have ever bought and could not generate enough interest to finish.

I had the fortune to read all of Ms. Karon's Mitford books over the past month, so I have truly come to think of the citizens of Mitford as family. This latest (and I hope not last) book is just as moving and wonderful as the others in the series. I shall deeply miss Father Tim and his family!

As per her style Jan Karon hit the jackpot again with another book in the Mitford series! Couldn't wait to turn each page. Now the pages have all been turned, with leaving eagerly awaiting the next book to find out what happens next! Jan, please don't make us wait to long!

I'm not familiar with the Author's books so I found myself completely at a loss trying to follow who was who. You need a scorecard to keep track which means I lost interest and opted to pack it in and drive through town. It was feeling so claustrophobic !

I don't see how Ms. Karon can continue to produce these wonderful, poignant, and funny books that are so true of life in a small town and of its minister. I look forward to and earnestly hope there will be more.

Jan Karon has once again delivered a completely lovely little slice of life. The characters are familiar and endearing, the setting sweet and serene. She never fails to deliver as good a sermon as any ordained preacher. I thoroughly loved it!!

Another wonderful, heart-warming, feel-good and happy ending tome from Jan Karon ~ it's been waaay too long! Father Tim and all the characters are back, it's like visiting family, but family that you WANT to be around! I found myself reading slowly so I could savor this visit. And yes, Barnabas is still here!

I have read many of the Mitford Series books. "Somewhere Safe" began slowly but became the “book I can’t put down”. The reality of the relationships in this story can be an education for all of us. Relationships are the meat of the world. There are so many twists and turns in the book and in our lives that we can read and enjoy the fiction, while learning to live, love and praise our Lord, for all His true wonders. Read and enjoy your time in Mitford and your return to our world as a better person.

Incredible as usual!! I laughed and I cried. I love all the characters. Awesome job Jan Karon. But when's the next book....I can hardly wait! BTW I own everyone of your books! Usually I give all my books away when I'm finished reading them, but I just can't give yours away. I'm on my third round of reading them. Most Sincerely, Carol Dodd, Franklin, TN

Worth the long wait, but as was the case with all the Mitford and Father Tim books, it ended too soon. I always want more!
