The truth can set you free.
Jaymee Ballard trusted only one person with the secret of her lost daughter. Now that person is dead—murdered, just like another woman in town. Jaymee is convinced her past and the secrets she has fought for so long to hide have come back to haunt her. And in a small town, unburied secrets can be deadly.
The truth can also get you killed.
Too many years of abuse leaves Jaymee unwilling to trust, but now she must ask for help from friends: One man who has ties to the murders, and another who wants to claim her heart. With the killer ready to strike again, they are running out of time. Can they find Jaymee’s daughter before it’s too late? Or will the awful secrets of Jaymee’s past destroy any chance of happiness?
Reviews
I’ve enjoyed the additional character of the elegant architectural elements she has applied
4By BMMArtsYou know where you are and you are sucked into the mossy cudzu and the depth and layers of Deep South humidity. The clinging , throat scratching and heavy breathing of the summers there. Unexpected shifts in what you’ve grown to believe are rippling through all her characters. It’s a thrilling experience and very unexpected.Great read
5By jlwisemanI feel the book definitely kept my attention, and the twist and turns were great and trying to figure out who the bad guy was. I will say I kind of had an idea how the end would happen, but it definitely kept me reading it. Definitely one of the better stories that I’ve read in a long time.Tin God was a Godsent novel

5By NoActionJacksonI’m new reader of Stacy Green. I read “The Girl in the Snow” last week. I love that you can read a free book on Apple to try out new authors. It really helps you determine what is out there and what is worth purchasing. I read that book in two days. It was so good I was hooked. I was pleased to find this book as well. At first I thought there was no way this author could impress me as much as she did but she did! The two books have completely different settings both equally as important to their story line. The main characters are fascinating and totally different in their narrative. Their strength comes from tragedy but their route to get there is totally different and unique. Nothing cookie cutter about the story lines. I am hooked and will read more in both series as well as other series. The story lines take so many twists and turns I just can’t put them down. It makes them seem so real because only a true story can be this complex- right? No! This author is just that good. You won’t see it coming - the who done it. What you will see is beautiful character development intertwined with a setting that is a character in and of itself with a surprise ending every time!A fast read!
5By $$$taceyI stayed up later than I should reading chapter after chapter. It was really good!!Tin god review
4By itsahmeeA really good, complicated read. About a girl who got pregnant at 17 and is forced to give up her baby for adoption. There is mystery surrounding this adoption and what really happened to her child. Murders start happening in her sleepy town that are related to the adoption cover up. Layers upon layers of storylines help keep this tale interesting. I never saw the killer coming. And the climax is really drawn out and not just over in a matter of pages. I thought the writing was really well done. Would recommend for fans of thriller books.5 stars

5By MistyddorAs a n adult who grew with a man very much like Paul Ballard I was able to relate to the character of Jaymee so much. The true torment that comes from two siblings trying to escape their past trauma is very accurately portrayed by the author. I highly recommend this book!Tin God
