  • Very good book

Very good book! Malcolm and Kylie had ups and downs in their relationship just like many do. This is a story of romance, friendship, and growth. There were times that Malcolm's jealousy without talking to Kylie, would make me want to throttle him, but I guess it makes the story good when you get involved with the characters. The steamy parts are written well, as is the entire book. I personally would have liked a lot less description of those scenes, but that is just my preference. I would recommend this book. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
  • A Promising Start

This is a wonderfully written story that had me hooked from the start. Kylie's concerns over losing her identity were easy to relate to. The fact that she had previously dated Malcom's twin was intriguing. The story is an enjoyably sweet and quick read. I love how we learn a little about the next couple to have their own story told in the next installment of a this trilogy. And, how the epilogue is a preview of things to come. A copy was received in exchange for an honest review.
  • page turner after the HEA

We all know that the best part of life comes AFTER the HEA. I loved that this book was all about making a relationship work- not just meeting your dream partner. Malcolm is so used to setting a goal, and working his way towards it, that he is becoming a workaholic. Kylie is so afraid of becoming her mother that she shies away from fully committing to Malcolm and working with him to achieve common goals. Elena Aitken has a great way of weaving characters from her previous books into her new ones- which makes her books so fun to read! It's so nice to read stories about couples being couples- when the excitement fades they still find a way to cherish each other!

Kylie, Malcolm & Marcus make an interesting love triangle. Malcolm & Marcus are brothers & are both interested in Kylie. Malcolm is trying to get his new ski resort opened & functioning. Kylie is his girlfriend & is feeling left out & ignored. She is also trying to find her own path & doesn't want to just be taken care of by a guy. Marcus comes up for opening day at the resort. He is Kylie's ex & is more playful & less intense than his brother. I loved this book!! The story just reaches out & grabs you & keeps you involved to the end. The characters are realistic & believable. The writing is so intense & emotional you find yourself experiencing the same emotions as the characters. I was as mad as Kylie when Malcolm expected her to waitress at his party instead of being by his side. I wanted to just reach out & shake him to make him see what was going on. However, when Kylie grabbed Marcus & kissed him in front of Malcolm, I wanted to slap her. I knew how I wanted them to end up but there were enough twists & turns that I wasn't positive I knew the ending. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves contemporary romance. This book is a follow up from an Invitation to Eden book but can easily be read as a stand alone.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I'm a new reader to Elena Aitken, but I enjoyed this novel. I can't wait to read about Seth and Cynthia. I enjoyed this novel because it showed that a waitress, who doesn't really know what she wants to do with her life, and a successful businessman can have a HEA. Although I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, I did find it slow. Kylie was so slow in figuring out her life. I thought she'd never "find" herself! I liked her as a character and I understood her doubts in regards to her relationship with Malcom, but it took her forever to figure out what she wanted in life. She had dreams to become a nurse, but wouldn't pursue them until she was "pushed" to. She felt she wasn't good enough for Malcom, but wouldn't talk to him about her issues and fears. They were a couple who didn't communicate!!! Malcom was totally clueless as well. He wanted to take care of Kylie, but she didn't want him to. She wanted to take care of herself. In her anger, she hurts Malcom in a way that she knows will probably be the end of them. She kisses his twin brother Marcus and Malcom sees the kiss. So, there's a bit of a triangle issue too. While I truly enjoyed this novel and can't wait to read Seth's story, I do wish Kylie would've been a stronger woman--more decisive! This novel ends with a HEA and is not a cliffhanger! Yay!
  • Fun, sweet story

3.75 stars. I received this book for an honest review. I should start off by saying that this book is a first in a trilogy, however, it's actually the 5th in a series. While it can be read as a stand-alone, it would be much more enjoyable and informative to have read the others in the series first so one would be more familiar with the back story of various supporting characters. It's a sweet love story that shows that love is rarely simple. The main character, Kylie, knows she loves Malcolm, but finds herself not only dealing with issues from her past, but needing to figure out who she is as an individual. Malcolm just wants to take care of Kylie, the love of his life, but tends to present this in an over-bearing, controlling manner. It's a bit cliche, and yet something many couples struggle with and must grapple with in order to move forward. The need for clear communication, the fact that it often takes awhile to figure out what is wrong, who we are, and what we want, is very real and applicable to most of us. It's a sweet, easy-to-read story that many of us can relate to. I love that the story ends where a side character's story takes off. I am eager to pick up the next book right away and continue on with these likable and relatable characters.

Great reading! I read this book once before & enjoyed it even more the second time. Kylie, Malcolm, & Marcus interactions were fun to read & seeing the struggle to find oneself is a struggle for many of us. The Stone Summit series of books are all excellent! Keep writing!

Great book! Twin hunks, ski slopes, romance and two stubborn people in love. If that is what you enjoy reading about this book is for you! I loved it! Elena can make me feel like I'm right there and a part of the book. The continuation of Kylie and Malcolm from Second Glances, an Invitation to Eden was something I have been waiting for. Lots of ups and downs but lots of love too! Can't wait to read more about the people in Cedar Springs! Makes me want to make a trip there!
