Description

Promise to Keep is book two in the New York Times bestselling three-book series Promises.
I’ve loved her since we were seven. We were best friends. We even made a pact to marry each other if we were both still single at thirty. I grew up thinking I would always love her for the rest of my life.
But I was proven wrong. Because the first time I made love to her turned out to be the first time I hated her. It became the first time she hurt me, and the first time I wanted nothing to do with her.
Today, nine years after the day that broke us apart, we are both thirty and single, and fate decided to intervene. I finally discovered that the reasons behind her betrayal were far different from the ones I’d created years ago in my mind.
Now I’m torn between my hatred over what she did and my undying love for the one girl who I’ve held close to my heart for most of my life.
But is the truth enough for me to forgive her?

Ugh. The storyline is so good, but chapter after chapter is spent on ages 7-13. Who cares? It could have been summarized in a chapter or less. I honestly think I skipped over half the book once I realized I wasn’t missing anything important.

Loved the 1st book and loved the preview of this one and want to know what happens soooo bad!!!! But! I don't know about paying $3.99 for a 300 page book when I can but another book in another series I love as much with a 1000 pages.... Just doesn't make sense.

Idk who is writing these other reviews or WHY this book is number one but do not buy. I've never felt this way about a romance novel in ITunes top 10, but holy cow what a waste of money. Horribly edited. Horrible writing. The author wastes pages upon pages of back story that DOES. NOT. MATTER. And for those that said this book is hot & so romantic? Where?! There is about .2 seconds of romance and their love is basically built on a misunderstanding that they just kind of talk about and don't really solve. I bought the second one after reading the first copy for free because I figured "It's the free version! The reviews are good! It has to get better if I'm paying 3.99!!!" And now I really don't understand who would buy the third but apparently people are. If you're debating on this book- don't do it. 👿 #WishICouldGetARefund

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I love this series, this is the third book in the series. Jax and Chloe are one couple who are ment to be together and have come so far not to be together. Chloe finds letters that were between her mom and Jax's dad and jumped to the conclusion that the baby they were talking about was her. Chole feaks out and tries to push Jax away without telling him why. Jax ttries to figure out why Chloe is pushing him away and finally she tells Jax why. This book is filled with love, attraction, and dirty little secrets that could potentially tear a couple who are defanitly ment to be apart. This book is a must read and will leave you wanting more. I hope to read more from Jessica Wood soon.

I feel like this should have been a teen book. There was too much time spent rehashing ages 7-19, which could have been summed up in 1 chapter. I bought 2 of these books before reading the first, what a waste of my money and time. Ugghhh awful.
