It’s not bad writing, it’s boring and immature for a reader who devours Sandford, Crais, Coben, Kellerman, Laarson, Cornwall, Evanovich, Grafton, Turrow, Silva, Scottoline, Grisham, Fairstein, etc...Rose!!

5By ColoradogalFirst of all a warning…you will get addicted. In order to understand the characters and story line, I suggest you read the Rose Gardner Mysteries first. Then read “Family Jewels” and the story will hold onto you like few books. Denise Grover Swank is an author like few people. She writes great plot lines with amazing characters! This book is one of the best but in order to truly appreciate start at the beginning and work down to Family Jewels which is the first of the Rose Gardner Investigations…but in the story line Rose Gardner Mysteries start at the beginning! You will join the rest of us totally hooked Rose and NK addicts!Superb

5By SmcneelytooI'm a big fan of Denise's writing and of the Rose Gardener series in general so it's no big surprise that I loved this book. Every one she writes is better than the last and this one is no exception. I'm grateful she saw the need to bring the events of the first series to a conclusion. It gave us an ending that exceeded our expectations; and what an ending it was! With that said, I definitely was not ready to leave Rose and her world behind. This new series keeps in line with what Denise had in place with Rose. She's let her character grow and change with events helping to make her more real to us readers. I am looking forward to the next release and can't wait to see what Denise will come up with.Ahhh

5By ScortheaDenise Grover Swank has been writing Rose Gardner books for a while now. This one is an addition to the previous Number and a half series, and you don't even have to read them to get into the new series! The beauty is, her development and the way she wrote this book is unmatched. The caracter growth in each character is the absolute best! She even has a good view on advice and the way morals should and could be defined. Each character has a unique personality, and what's better is that she really did a wonderful job with this book! I can't wait to read more and I hope Rose Gardner continues to be written! I love this book and will read it again and again!
