Still reeling from having my heart torn out of my chest when we last saw Rose, this book took me on another emotional roller coaster that kept me guessing through to the very end. I cannot wait for the next book to see how things will ultimately turn out. Things and people in Fenton County are seldom what they seem and something tells me Denise still has a few twists up her sleeve!Great series

I felt every emotion imaginable throughout the book and felt like I was right there during the action. Rose has grown and evolved throughout both series. I truly love her character and her friends in the book. DGS is a talented author who has the ability to transport the reader into the book. I’m never disappointed by DGS, she’s an incredible author. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to the next release in January 2021.Disappointed
3By J_MonacoI’ve read all of the Rose Gardner books and this one was definitely the weakest. Ever since roses pregnancy they have just been going down for me. The prospect of rose and skeeter being the king and queen of Fenton county had me so excited to see what they could do together. But the pregnancy seemed to ruin that and just be out of place. And the whole joe is the daddy is just annoying. Joe does nothing but hold her back. It’s like been there done that. If you just wanted her to end up with joe then why bother her even having a relationship with James? I’ll read the next book to see what happens but at this point I’m really losing interest in this series. Hopefully it will have a better ending for James. He deserves more than this.Best yet!

The way she pulls you in as a reader and gets you hanging on ever twist and then is so captivating. You feel like Rose and Neely Kate are your best friends throughout the entire journey of the series. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!Still Love the Series
4By DrumCritiqueI have loved all the books Rose’s story since book one. With this book, however, I’m not into Rose and Joe’s relationship AT ALL. Reading their scenes together was beyond uninteresting to me. It’s like a been there-done that kinda thing, they don’t make sense together. Rose is either strong enough on her own or more compatible with other characters who understand her more. Joe chose other people over Rose so many times, it seems more like settling for Rose then a truly passionate, deep love. I don’t feel like their personalities fit together at all, I just really hope the story takes a different and better direction. I agree with other reviews saying James needs a better, happy ending since the last several books led readers to really start to understand and like his character. I still am a huge fan of the stories, I’m so happy Rose still has a story to tell and Denise Grover Swank does a wonderful job keeping this storyline suspenseful, intense, intriguing and interesting (minus the Joe and Rose part). So thank you for another great book, fingers crossed the next one sorts more things out.WOW!!

I had already been much anticipating this book and it did not disappoint. A lot of things I felt have been and we read throughout this book but still has open ends for the next book. I know it will eventually be coming to an end, but I’m ready for Rose to have a happily ever after. Rose and Neely Kate get into their own investigations as usual. Many exciting things happen from the very beginning, but I felt this was such a common Rose story. We got the anticipation and the mystery. You think Denise Grover Swank is going to lead you one way and then the tables get turned. Rose will do anything for her niece and nephew, as will Joe, Neely Kate and a multitude of others. Being thirty-eight weeks pregnant doesn’t stop Rose from trying to get to the bottom of why Ashley and Mikey were kidnapped. She does her Rose ways to search for them, only for her to find out more than she would’ve ever thought. This next installment of the Rose Gardner Investigation series is not one you’re going to want to miss. Be ready for the emotions: happiness, laughter, joy but also sadness and heartache. You’re not going to regret this edge of the seat novel!Disappointed

5By Beach girl 910This book was absolutely wonderful. If you haven’t read the Rose series start at 28 1/2 wishes and dive in for the read of your life. It’s wonderful! This book gave the happily ever after (for now) for the characters that deserved it more than anyone else. This book had me second guessing ever prediction I had. It made me tear up for characters I love. I can’t wait till more! Denise writes wonderful books she is amazing!!Fantastic book!

5By Harlis99This book to me is the best in the series. It has so many ups and downs. From funny moments, to moments of near tragedy to complete joy. Almost everyone is present in this book and will keep you guessing the entire time. The mystery of Hardshaw is becoming more clear but has yet to be solved. Every chapter is filled with excitement and keeps you on your toes.
