Description

Brotherhood. Club. Family.

They live and ride by their own rules.

These are the Raven Riders . . .

Raven Riders Motorcycle Club President Dare Kenyon rides hard and values loyalty above all else. He’ll do anything to protect the brotherhood of bikers—the only family he’s got—as well as those who can’t defend themselves. So when mistrustful Haven Randall lands on the club’s doorstep scared that she’s being hunted, Dare takes her in, swears to keep her safe, and pushes to learn the secrets overshadowing her pretty smile.

Haven fled from years of abuse at the hands of her criminal father and is suspicious of any man’s promises, including those of the darkly sexy and overwhelmingly intense Ravens’ leader. But as the powerful attraction between them flares to life, Dare pushes her boundaries and tempts her to want things she never thought she could.

The past never dies without a fight, but Dare Kenyon’s never backed down before . . .

Attention grabbing action and hot sex ... what a combination! Damsel in distress meets rough biker dude ... and he takes her for the ride of her life! Really liked meeting more of the Raven Riders and getting to know what they stand for and a bit of their history as a club. It's a steamy read and a really enjoyable one. The only thing that would have made it better was to see more of Ike and Jess. Looking forward to the next book in the series! Raven Riders Motorcycle Club President Dare Kenyon prides himself on running a tight knit family in his club, and helping those in need. They don't always go the legal route, but they always aim for staying as right as they can and lending a hand when needed. When Haven Randall shows up on their doorstep being hunted by her ruthless criminal of a father, they don't hesitate to take her in and vow to keep her safe. When Dare feels a stronger attraction and deeper pull to her than he ever has to anyone before, will he be able to let her go when the time comes to get her to safety that will protect her forever from her father?

His heart is HUGE! He had so much love to give. Loved all the characters in this story, especially the Ravens and the Vets. Nick is kind of hot. But all the characters were well developed. I was hoping they could put down the new Baltimore gang, but perhaps there's going to be a sequel. I loved the mission of this MC club. I don't usually read these particular books because the women are represented in such a bad, degrading light. In this world the club had a mission, gave the women strength and helped them move on when they were ready. Bunny and Haven were wonderful, but I loved Cora. So strong and loved her friend. Last, but certainly not least, Maverick. Love, love, love. He was strong when he needed to be. Sensitive when the situation warranted it, and had a sense of humor. Great balance for Dare. This was a wonderful story. The anticipation killed me, but once her father had made his appearance, I wished it was longer. I highly recommend. Enjoy!

Ride Hard is the first book in Laura Kaye’s new Ravens Riders series and it is AWESOME!!!! Dare and Haven grab you from the start and don’t let go until long after you’ve finished the book. He’s the president of a not so normal motorcycle club and she’s escaping an abusive past. As the attraction between them grows, they realize how much they have in common and that they just might be everything the other has been looking for. Deep emotion, humor, and a touch of danger make this an addictive read. Kaye dose a beautiful job of world building while not taking too much focus off of Dare and Haven. Fans of Kaye’s Hard Ink series have already met the Ravens Riders and will be delighted to read that these two groups of warriors are still willing to help each other out, however you do not have to have read the Hard Ink books before taking a ride with the Ravens. I can’t wait for the next ride!

I’m just going to put it out there to begin with – there’s no way I can be objective about a Laura Kaye book. I love her storytelling. I love her characters. Their emotion. Their conflict. I just love her books. Ride Hard is book one in a new series, a spin off of the Hard Ink series which introduced the brothers of Raven Riders MC. While their activities aren’t necessarily always on the “right” side of the law, the mission they’ve taken on for themselves is an honorable one. Helping abused women and children escape their tormentors and find new lives for themselves. Laura gives credit to the idea for the Raven Riders series to a real-life organization – Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA). Once again Laura Kaye has woven an intense and suspenseful story. The characters are complex, lovable, and infuriating. The story itself is one of redemption and empowerment. And a hot, steamy romance between Dare and Haven. If you’re not already a fan of Laura Kaye’s, this is the perfect time to jump on the bandwagon.

Holy Crap!!! If I could give a book more than 5-stars, It.Would.Be - RIDE HARD! My heart broke several times for Haven and Dare. I loved how Haven developed with Dare being her strength and in return she helped Dare face issues from his past. Then my heart was shredded, only to be put back together in one happy piece. Love this new series and can't wait for the release of Ride Rough.

Haven and Dare hooked me from the beginning and their story wouldn't let me go until the very end. Truly, truly great read! A standalone story, you don't have to know anything of her Hard Ink series but the characters got their start from that story line. On the run from her abusive, mob boss of a father, Haven and her friend Cora got caught in a crossfire war between another mob gang and the 'good guys'. The good guys here being a group of veterans trying to avenge the loss of their brother and a motorcycle gang as their hired guns. Haven's mind is spinning as she's taken in by the MC gang/Raven Riders to heal and find a new life for herself. For a girl that has always had to 'hide' herself and be wary of her father's strong hand and worse from his associates, going into a place where the men are loud and like to party but act like no family she's ever seen has her thrown way off balance. Add to this Dare Kenyon, head of the Raven Riders, and a man she can stop watching and Haven knows she'll either crumble or become someone she never thought possible. Dare is a man of many faces. He's the tough, doesn't take sh*t off anyone, leader of a biker gang, yet this gang is one that takes in and shelters women and children in bad situations and helps them find new lives. Its a different kind of motorcycle gang on purpose as he does not want to follow in the illegal proclivities his father chose. Though the Raven Riders' halos may be tilted (they're not perfectly above board), all of the men in the group stand for the downtrodden and do what they can to help out. Dare is drawn to Haven like no one else before her and he can't stay away. He draws her out of her shell and shows her how strong she really is. He's determined to do his best by her, knowing he'll have to let her go in the end so that she can start a new life. But before he lets her go, the sheets will burn and burn and burn!! Before she can leave, the problems with her father will surface and another fight will break out. The tension is so good between Dare and Haven and Dare and her father that the book is impossible to set down! New characters are introduced and hints of future story lines/ships given. It looks like the start to another great series from Laura Kaye! I have purchased her prior books but was given an ARC of this one for an honest review.
