Description

Meet Ian Callaway and catch up with two popular Callaway siblings, Emma and Burke, in this charming and fun Callaway novella that will sweep you away to Ireland in a tale of romance and adventure!

When Eleanor Callaway asks three of her grandchildren to make a trip to her childhood home in Ireland, they have no idea her plan for each of them will make this a life-changing trip.

Emma, the spunky, never-say-quit, fire investigator is happily married but has been struggling to have a child. While many of her siblings are welcoming new babies, Emma is afraid that she may never be a mother, but a trip to the Emerald Isle shows her that family is not always about bloodlines.

Burke Callaway saved his cousin's life in a fire, but now he's dealing with a possible career-ending injury. All he's ever wanted to be is a firefighter, to follow in the steps of the men who came before him. But this oldest son, for whom responsibility weighs heavy, now has a chance to discover a new and more free-spirited side of himself.

Ian Callaway is a world-renowned scientist, but his high IQ has been isolating. This sexy, attractive genius meets his hero in Ireland—a mysterious professor who is about to send him off on an adventure that will both threaten and change his life forever.

*TAKE ME HOME is a 25,000 word novella that can be read as a standalone or as part of the Callaway Series. Ian Callaway's complete romantic suspense adventure will start here and continue in the full-length novel CLOSER TO YOU.

ARC copy for honest review with no compensation. Love this series!! Take Me Home, takes Burke, Maddie, Max, Emma and Ian back to their ancestors home in Ireland at their grandmother's insistence. Once they arrive Ian, Emma and Burke are each given a letter to help them understand more about their family history and to help with things they each are struggling with. So much is packed into this novella, once you start reading you won't put it down. Looking forward to Ian's story!!

What a wonderful Novella. It ends with you kind of knowing what is coming, but keeps you wondering. Grandma sends 3 cousins to her hometown in Ireland and sends each one on an adventure for some soul searching and fun. Keeps you engrossed in the story, but hoping the next book comes really soon. Learn some secrets, some heavy thinking, but all in all a great story. I highly recommend this book, plus if you haven't read The Callaways, I say go for it. You will not be sorry. One of my favorite families. Barbara makes you feel like you are a part of the family with her stories.

The Calloway books are my favorite series from Barbara Freethy. I enjoy reading about big, loving families especially with some humor incorporated into the storyline. Unfortunately most of us can relate to someone in the family with some form of dementia, so it was nice to see some happy results from Eleanor's birthday wishes. The Novella was a great way to introduce us to Ian. I'm looking forward to reading his story next.

This sweet Callaway novella centers on Emma, Burke, and Ian. They travel to Ireland at their grandmothers request she sends each of them on their own scavenger hunt of sorts. Each one finds food for thought that relates to a challenge in their life. I love the surprise at their dinner at the restaurant. This story does leave you wondering what happens next but you can continue the story in the next book. Sweet read.

Heartwarming novella as three of the Callaways are encouraged to begin to live their lives more fully! Their grandmother sends them to her hometown in Ireland and arranges for them to follow separate quests to remind them that there is more to life than following their careers and that issues can be handled with help from their loved ones. It was fun to see Emma and Burke with their spouses enjoying their trip and to meet Ian. I can't wait to read his story!

Take me Home lets us look a little deeper into the lives of Emma and Max, along with Burke and Maddie. We get to discover more about Ian and will be happy to hear his story. I was happy to see Grandma Eleanor is doing better and very touching that the grandchildren care for her and love her to help make her birthday wishes come true. The Callaway series is just one of the great reads you will find by Barbara Freethy. 👍

When loving grandma, Eleanor, sends three of her grandkids to Ireland for her birthday trip little do they realize that she actually has ulterior motives. Eleanor has been inflicted with dementia but this trip allows her Emma, Burke and Ian to understand their Grandma knows and understands more than they believed. This is a wonderful novella full of great stories that makes you itch for the next full size Callaway book. Excellent update and the surprise at the end is the best!

Another delightful Calloway clan story. I love the description of grandmother Eleanor having a twinkle in her eyes, once again. With memories of her homeland Ireland, she wants to see it once again.Though this time it will be thru the eyes of her 3 grandchildren. Though each of them say they can't take the time. For grandmother is dear to them, how can they refuse. After getting over to Ireland they each are given a specific letter. For Burke and his wife Maddie will embark on a treasure hunt. For Ian he's to met someone. For Emma and Max met grandmother's best friend. So what was in the letters ? What did they find, and how did it change their lives. The 3 find so much more. Great, heartwarming story, you will love. Looking forward to the next book. Given ARC for my honest opinion, of which I have given.
