Description

No amount of training could’ve prepared him for her.

Former Army Ranger Stone Mitchum doesn’t have time for relationships, let alone a one-night stand. He’s too busy running a ranch that helps transition veterans back into society. But when his curvy new tenant falls into his arms, his libido snaps to attention.

Jovy Larson has four weeks to prove she’s worthy of taking over the family business. She’s up for whatever ridiculous task they throw at her, but selling vegan food to a bunch of cowboys in cattle country, Texas? Not half as tough as fighting her attraction to her sexy, surly landlord.

Good thing she’s stubborn. Then again, so is he…

Each book in the Men of at Ease Ranch series is STANDALONE:
* In a Ranger’s Arms
* Her Secret Ranger
* The Right Ranger
* Army Ranger with Benefits
* The Army Ranger's Surprise

    What a wonderful story. The plot was well written and flowed nicely. I love Lula Belle (the cow that loves Stone Mitchum.) Stone along with his brother and two brother-in-arms rangers, purchase Stone's grandfather's ranch. They run At-Ease Ranch as a place where returning veterans can come work and live. They also run Fox-Trot Construction for the returning vets to learn a new job skill as well. Stone feels especially committed to have all of the veterans' back and lead them into a new and successful career even though there are 3 other partners. Yes, Stone is a born alpha leader. Jovy Larson comes to Joyful, Texas to open a vegan restaurant (in the middle of cowboy eating steak country!) Her cousin Ross is sent to Hawaii to sell snow mobiles. The contest between these two young people is to see who can most successfully run a company in face of diversity. The person who has the better bottom line at the end of the month will get the CEO position of Larson Industries in Philadelphia. Their grandfather devised this contest as both are highly competent people with the skills to run the company. Stone and his brother own the space where Jovy opens her restaurant. When Stone and Jovy meet, well lets just say to get ready for the laughter. This story was fun to read. Yes, there are some very sad, poignant moments in regards to a specific ranger and the trials that our returning military personnel go through. That is why I so enjoyed this story and the At-Ease Ranch for veterans and Fox-trot Construction. What a wonderful concept. Stone is a definite alpha ranger male. Jovy is also a strong-minded female. The sparks between them is instant and constant throughout. I loved with scenes between Lula Belle and Jovy though. They were especially funny to read. Ms. Michaels did a fantastic job in bringing the characters and the story to life. I felt like I was right there in the middle of the scenes. I adored the dual POV format especially Stone's. There are some strong scenes with him and getting his POV was most helpful. to understand the character I never served in the military especially during the war so to see what he was thinking and feeling was a must for me. This book is not erotica by any means but there are several scenes that are not appropriate for someone under the age of 18. I do recommend this book for some over 18.

    This fantastic read is book one in The Men of At Ease Ranch series and it features Army Ranger Stone Mitchum and business owner Jovy Larson. This is a sweet, steamy romance and on this ranch they give veterans a place to belong and heal. Jovy and Stone are great together but there are some very strong obstacles in their way. All the characters in this series are fantastic! Lula Belle just might be my favorite. I can't wait to read the next book.

    I loved Stone and Jovy's story! The author did a great job of incorporating a sexy, funny and heartwarming romance with bringing awareness on how difficult it is for veterans transitioning back into society. "In a Ranger's Arms" by Donna Michaels is book number one in the "The Men of at Ease Ranch" series. This is former Army Ranger Stone Mitchum and Jovy Larson's story. Stone has started a construction business with his brother and two buddies. Their business also employs veterans and housing to help transition them back into society. Stone doesn't have time for relationships since starting this business. He also has unresolved issues from his past that he hasn't totally confronted. Jovy is renting from Stone and has four weeks to make a success of a business serving gluten-free, vegan food in the middle of cattle country. She is trying to prove to her family that she is ready to take over the family business. Jovy is not interested in starting a relationship since she is only staying in this small town for a short time. Wow, the chemistry between Stone and Jovy was off the charts. Will they be able to ignore this attraction? What about all their plans? Well, life doesn't always go according to plans and sometimes it turns out even better than planned. Warning! Once you start this book everything around will just disappear. You will not hear anything your family is telling or asking you. You will fall in love with Stone and Jovy. Oh, you will also love Lulu Belle, the cow. This is a fun story! FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    I really loved everything about this one! From Jovy and Stone's initial meeting to the final page this one had my attention and I didn't want to put it down. Jovy is in the middle of a family challenge to gain the CEO position of the family business. For one month she has to go to the middle of cattle country and set up a profitable restaurant specializing in vegan cuisine. A difficult task made even tougher by her attraction to her surly landlord Stone Mitchum. Stone's focus has been on keeping his company going. A company that helps transition veterans back into civilian life. Leasing out his building for just a month isn't what he wanted to do but he needs the money. So putting up with the very tempting Jovy Larson is just something he'll have to deal with. As the month goes on and these two get closer they both have to decide what is really important to them. Definitely a book I recommend to everyone.

    "In a Ranger's Arms" (The Men of at Ease Ranch) by Donna Michaels is a fantastic read. I loved Jovy and Stone's story. This book is packed with passion, helping soldiers, entertaining and interesting characters, and more. Lula Bell is a trip! I hope we get more stories about Brick, Cord, Vince, Leo, At-Ease Ranch, and Foxtrot in the future. Recommend to all fans of romance, and soldiers.
