Her Secret Army Ranger

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Entangled Publishing via NetGalley and I also purchased a copy. This was hilariously funny at times to the point of having to stop reading. Other times the action and dialogue was so poignant that I had tears in my eyes. It is a wonderful book that brought out a roller-coaster set of emotions in me and I enjoy a book that does that. The plot was beautifully written. I felt like I was right there with the characters. Brink is good friends with Cord. They served together in the Army as Rangers. Now they co-own a ranch and a construction business dedicated to helping veterans. There is an unwritten code that they live by, you don't mess with a fellow Ranger's sister. Unfortunately Cord only uses their code name with discussing his friends with his family. Beth and Brick met at a bar. They immediately click. Two weeks later, Beth is back in town on business and is dared by her friend to kiss the next single man to enter the fair where they are. Low and behold, in walks Cord. The attraction between them has grown and things just get hotter. After Beth discovers that Brick is her brother's friend, Romeo, she is torn. If she reveals her identity (as Cord calls her Lizzy to everyone), Brick will drop her like a hot potato. The journey to their HEA, is one that is filled with sex, fun dates, but strife as well. This book is written in a dual POV format. It is wonderful to see the turmoil and guilt that Beth is struggling with; it really humanized her. Brick on the other hand is struggling as he has never done a relationship before. As the days go by, Brick's rules fall by the way-side one by one. I so enjoyed this book. I had a few tears as the story developed and things came to a head. I adored Beth's courage. This story is the second in the series and it is a keeper and I look forward to re-read this one. You don't have to read the first book in the series to enjoy this one BUT I would as the prior characters reappear. Besides it was just a wonderful read as this one. Due to the sexual nature of some scenes, I highly recommend this book (and the prior one) to anyone over the age of 18.

This author is new to me. Enjoyed this read...light, romantic. Overall, this was a good-feel book. Plan to read more from this author.

4.5 Stars This is book 2 in The Men of At Ease Ranch series and it features Army Ranger Brick Mitchum and party planner Beth Brannigan. These two are burning up the sheets in this sweet and sexy romance. Secrets are very bad as Beth soon finds out. Secrets between best friends are even worse. There's never a dull moment in this story. This author knows how to write her military men as cowboys. Delicious! Another great story with fantastic characters. I'm definitely looking forward to the next one.

"Her Secret Ranger" (The Men Of At Ease Ranch Book 2) by Donna Michaels is a great read. I loved Bricj and Beth's story. This story is packed with romance, passion, humor, hot cowboy soldiers, close friends, veterans, entertaining and interesting characters, drama, happily ever afters, and more. I can not wait to see what happens next with the guys of At Ease Ranch! Lula-Belle cracked me up, again! Highly recommend to all fans of romance, cowboys, military, and series.

Her Secret Ranger by Donna Michaels is book number two in the Men of At Ease Ranch series. This is event planner Beth Brannigan and former Army Ranger Brick Mitchum's story. Brick and Beth end up dating and so much more together. Brick isn't a relationship kind of guy. He is more the love em and leave em kind of guy but Beth may the exception. Brick knows that Beth is keeping a secret but doesn't know what it is. Beth's secret is that she knows that Brick is her brother's friend and military buddy. No big deal, right? Other than her brother will freak out and no telling what he will do to Brick, the love em and leave em guy, that is sleeping with his sister. So, curl up and find out what happens when Brick and Beth's brother find out her secret. Be prepared to do nothing else until you finish this book. This is a fun, flirty, and steamy read! Another great addition to the Men of At Ease Ranch series. I love how Donna Michaels' incorporates humor into her sexy cowboy romances. FYI, contains mature content. This second installment in The Men of At Ease Ranch was awesome! Along with excellent writing and intriguing characters, there is a great story that will keep you turning the pages. The usually straight laced Beth Brannigan decides just this once to let loose and have a little fun with the very sexy Brick Mitchum. Never expecting to see him again she's surprised when she runs into him when she returns to her hometown to handle a short term project. Beth is excited to be back and wants to see her brother but having a little more fun with Brick would be nice too. That is until those two worlds collide in spectacular fashion! An excellent quick read that I would highly recommend.
