It was such a sweet and sensual romance between two people with broken hearts, and broken pasts. So much hurt and devastation between the two of them, and no real idea of how to maneuver through the wreckage of their past. The characters were incredible. I fell head over heels for the beautiful and broken Ranger that Cord was, and cheered him on when he made the strides necessary to heal. Haley was a down to earth, loving, sweet, kind woman with a heart of gold. Determined to make her way in the world, and leave it not only a better place, but do it on her own two feet. She was an inspiration. Each character had their own soul, their own mind, and a heart all their own. They were so easy to love, and authentic in their realism. The plot and storyline were well thought out, and executed. Ms. Michaels threw in just enough twists to keep it interesting, but not overshadow the love story brewing between them. The cover was HOT, and totally fun. The blurb held enough hook to pull you in for a taste of something more. Ms. Michaels has a great writing style that is easy and fun to read. I look forward to checking out what else Ms. Michaels has on her bookshelf. Kristie K

Cord promised his friend before he died that he would protect his friend's wife, Haley. The problem is Cord is attracted to Haley but she is off limits since she is his friend's widow. Haley is attracted to Cord too. Cord and Haley both have secrets that they haven't told each other. He is helping her get her business ready to open. Will they be able to ignore the hot chemistry between them? Hat will happen when their secrets come out? Donna Michaels does it again. Another hot and sexy romance! I loved Haley and Cord's story. WOW! Another fabulous book by Donna Michaels! This is book 3 in the Men of At Ease Ranch series and it features Cord Brannigan and Haley Wagner. Maybe it was fate. It's obvious their feelings run deep. What an awful dilemma for Cord but things were not easy for Haley either. There were so many unknowns for them both. Thank God for good friends! These men and their women are doing amazing things with these ranches. This story opens up unlimited opportunities to expand this series. I'm so excited to see who gets the next story in this fantastic series!

I have really enjoyed this whole series and getting to know Cord and Haley was fun! This couple is HOT, stubborn and at times lots of fun but they also have some major issues to work out. If you are following this series you will not want to skip this one! If you are new to the series, this great couple is worth the time to get to know!

I've loved this whole series and this may be my favorite to date. Haley and Cord just work so well together I couldn't help but fall in love with them. There's a nice easy flow to the story that just keeps you turning the pages. This is a great story of two people fighting an attraction due to a sense of honor but in the end is inevitable. They both keep secrets that could hurt the other and could ultimately drive them apart. Grab a copy of this one and enjoy their story! I highly recommend it.
