Good, quick read

Fast moving intrigue. Familiar plot with good characters that make it different. A negative is the impulse factor of a very smart woman otherwise. I groaned quite a few times at the antics.

I found this novel randomly scrolling to find something to read. This one had me hooked from the very beginning. Each chapter leaving you on the edge of your seat.

This book was absolutely amazing but wouldn’t recommend for kids under 13 it kept me on the edge and I stayed up some days up to 5am reading it was astonishingly good would recommend to people who like suspense horror etcetera.

Keri Locke is an LAPD rookie detective. She offers from PTSD after her daughter was abducted. There are no leads as to who the abductor might be. Now she is working a case of an abduction of a teenaged girl who just happens to be a Senator’s daughter. She works the case all the while seeing her daughter’s face! Did the Senator’s daughter run away or was this a real abduction? Even the girl’s father thinks she just ran off! Great characters, good plot.

Umm this book is good! Has a good catch and nice story line but the typos and name changes if the characters is killing me. Black pierce is a phenomenal author but they need to proof read these books so that they can be even better.

Overall good book but too slow to action for me

I liked this entire story. Just meeting Keri is a pleasure with consternation. I truly hope she finds Evie for real soon. Smart detective who showed her worth to higher ups. Cannot be denied. Stupid Senator. He probably did something he deserves to be unseated for. Just guessing. Maybe we will find out in future episodes. Highly recommend this series. This author is so prolific I wonder how he has time to eat a meal. 🤣

This was exciting to read and I kept saying "Just one more chapter". I couldn't put it down. I had to force myself to stop reading and go to bed, well after 1:00 AM. Well written and Blake Pierce is my newest Favorite Author! I have read 7 of his books... All the same captivating writing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What main character does bit unrealistic and frankly stupid. But over all still good book to read...

Great read, fast pass, well written

This book was a fast read, and definitely had plenty of suspense. My issue, and the reason I chose to give it 4 stars, is that there are so many typographical errors— missing words, lots of instances where the character name was meant to be Keri, but was written/printed as Ashley, etc.— that I grew annoyed and wondered (hoped?) whether the author was so excitedly writing that he/she hurried through without looking back. Definitely should have been caught in editing!
