NEXT DOOR (A Chloe Fine Mystery) is book #1 in a new psychological suspense series by bestselling author Blake Pierce, whose #1 bestseller Once Gone (Book #1) (a free download) has received over 1,000 five star reviews.
FBI Evidence Response Team intern Chloe Fine, 27, finds herself forced to confront her own dark past when her troubled twin sister needs her help—and when a body turns up dead in her small, suburban town.
Chloe feels life is finally perfect as she moves back into her home town, and into a new house with her fiancé. Her career with the FBI looks promising, and her wedding is on the horizon.
But, she learns, all is not as it seems in suburbia. Chloe begins to see the underside—the gossip, the secrets, the lies—and she finds herself haunted by her own demons: her mother’s mysterious death when she was 10, and her father’s imprisonment.
And when a fresh body is found, Chloe soon realizes that her past, and this small town, might hold the key to solving both.
An emotionally wrought psychological suspense with layered characters, small-town ambiance and heart-pounding suspense, NEXT DOOR is book #1 in a riveting new series that will leave you turning pages late into the night.
Book #2 in the CHLOE FINE series is also now available!

A must read
5By ayemahnduhVery entertainingNo opinion
5By Swan rockWell written and kept one's interest. Wonder how people deal with such deceit and heartache. I believe there is an error when Martin's name is used instead if Stevens. FranNext Door
3By ddddddddddddddddddqGreat twists but sophomoric writing. Even had a wrong name in a dialogue. Not for me
2By Meeks146I read the other reviews but decided to try it anyway. Much truth in the fact that their are errors, I kept highlighting them along the way. My issue with the book was that it was not heart-pounding suspense, or suspenseful at all to me. I didnt really care about the next chapter. I’m not sure why it’s called a psychological thriller, bc neither of those words describe the book at all. I liked the relationship w the main character and her supervisor/mentor. Other than that, I didnt care about any of the other characters. I didnt understand the reasoning behind the murder in the first place. I think this author has potential but this book wasnt it for me.Incredible
5By Decj25Great read love this book and the sister to sister interaction.Liketoread
3By dlpenniGood read a little more on the sophomoric writing style with some the storyYes yes and yes!
5By MiLindaNinaFinished this in 2 days! Such a great book! Was not disappointed at allMystery
4By 12ei12I liked the plot and the characters. I didn’t like the vulgar language. Some mistakes
3By Yuliana20gInteresting book and very easy to read and understand but it has a lot of grammar mistakes and for some moments the story it’s a little slow!Good read, but a lot of writing errors
4By Future Mrs. CautilliI loved the book and the storyline, it definitely kept me on my toes, but I struggled with the writing errors. Some made the story very complicated to follow because the Author used the wrong names from time to time, at one point a dead guy (don’t want to say the name because it’ll spoil it) was talking to Chloe instead of her fiancé, etc, but if you can get past the writing errors, and improper grammar, then it’s definitely worth the read. I’ll be reading the next book!
