3By SJDBristollThe books starts off with all kinds of promise - lots of heat, flirting, fun in a classic average girl meets rich bachelor and changes him romance. However, there are so many places to build up the connection between the two main characters, and to build the personalities of the antagonists in their interactions with the Max and Hallie. However, those conversations and interactions are almost glossed over like a footnote. As always, though, Lila’s written in some truly steamy sex scenes that have heat. I just wish I felt the connection between the main characters outside of the bedroom.Ok, but had the potential to be a lot better
3By jdran1982I am not one to put down any authors work, because I can only imagine how it feels to write, grasp ones interest and keep it. This book has the potential to be so much more. I loved the way it was going, but then it fell off and I lost track of one of the main characters which is Max. I felt like The Whole book was about Hallie and I completely lost Max’s role. I wanted to know more about Max and his thoughts. Now it would have been fine to go that route, but at least allow Hallie to carry that for both her and Max. Honestly after reading that book I still know nothing about Max. I would definitely give this author another try, because I am a firm believer of second chances.Very Irresistable
