Fantastically gripping and intensely dark romance with tragically painful scenes. As much as Enzo and Kai are obsessed with each other, their painful pasts kept them from trusting each other. Dramatic and brutal in the way they were manipulated into their game for the top “black” position, their journey is fraught with betrayal and pain. This is book two in the Truth or Lies Series. The story is dark and complex with characters beyond believable and memorable. Both Kai and Enzo have absolutely devastating childhood backgrounds. How either of them have the ability to overcome the horrors and devastation done to them amazes me. This book ends in a huge cliffhanger, but also reveals two unbelievable truths. This series is probably the best I have ever read. Absolutely terrific read! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This roller coaster ride with Enzo and Kai is driving me crazy. There are times I want to get off but I can’t because I need to see how things end. Can’t wait to see what’s up next.

I think this is the best installment yet. Kai and Enzo are finally starting to reveal their lies to one another and perhaps their feelings. Who is evil? Who is neither or both? KAI... How far is she willing to go in her quest for freedom? Will she finally break? ENZO... Just what and who will he sacrifice in the name of ‘family'? KAI’s DAD... Is he good?.. Evil?.. Savior? Or is he the devil in disguise? As we meet new players in this game of dark deceit, will they be friend or foe ... or both? The road followed is dark, long and narrow, with unseen dangers lurking around every curve. LIKES: Loved how all is not what you see, expect or think. WISHES: Delete half of the ‘F’ bombs. They were unnecessary and weakened the storyline . QUESTIONS: Kai asked herself: How can she lust after the very person who tortured her, sold her, ruined her? … I kept wondering this very same same thing. After what she suffered by the hands of men, how could she want anything to do with any man, especially the one she believes was the cause of her torture? What is the TRUTH? Are lies really truths? At one point her dad says she’s not ready for the truth…. will she ever be? The saga continues. Anxiously awaiting the third book, Trapped By Lies.
