From master of suspense Lisa Unger comes a riveting thriller about a chance encounter that unravels a stunning web of lies.
Selena Murphy is commuting home on the train when she strikes up a conversation with a beautiful stranger in the next seat. The woman introduces herself as Martha and soon confesses that she’s been stuck in an affair with her boss. Selena, in turn, confesses that she suspects her husband is sleeping with the nanny. When the train arrives at Selena’s station, the two women part ways, presumably never to meet again.
Then the nanny disappears.
As Selena is pulled into the mystery of what happened, and as the fractures in her marriage grow deeper, she begins to wonder, who was Martha really? But she is hardly prepared for what she’ll discover…

Reviews
Good from beginning to end!
5By dancing dollyThe book kept me enthralled and interested—-lots of twists…I do not want to leave any spoilers. All in all a good read.An enthralling book
5By Val SalIt was so hard to put this book down. I wanted so earnestly for Graham to not be a bad guy. In the end, Martha was vindicated. It was vigilante justice, but her own code of being a con woman really brought this story together.Confessions on the 7:45
5By Ms. English TeacherI enjoyed every page. Good twists & turns. Good forward movement. I stayed engaged until the last word. Thank you a great story without the lurid details of every situation, the gore & the base, vulgar language that permeate so many works.Could not put down
5By SEmmickGreat read with lots of twists! It was slow read at first
4By Gery679I enjoyed reading the book but in the beginning it was slow start until it got better towards the middle and to the end. The twists and turns it had were great.Couldn’t put it down!
5By stacie_LCEvery now and then you find a great book you just can’t stop reading. I enjoyed this from the beginning, lots of turns and twists.Intriguing
5By JinkabelleReally great read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Each character was interesting and created skillfully. Their stories were engaging and kept me entertained all the way to the mind twisting end. I’d say the tale is spun perfectly!Slow read
2By Chelgirl30Super super slow in the beginning. Took me a long time to get into it. Doesn’t hook til a little over half way through. There’s really no character to root for either. Wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great.Highly recommend!
5By MercyLuisWhat a ride this book was! As a woman who was physically abused by my ex husband, I really thought that this book would be triggering for me, but I took a chance anyway because I heard that this book was so good and worth the read. I am so happy I did! The story was so addictive and compelling that I was too busy enjoying the book instead of experiencing any sort of PTSD from my own personal experience. And although the story became predictable early on in the book, it didn’t take away from the overall plot, which I thought the author did a pretty great job keeping the story fascinating. Great thriller and awesome reading experience all around!!Interesting tale
5By lisupeLiked the character’s complexities. Interesting the way it weaves together.
