Description

The childhood murder of Lydia Strong’s mother has turned her into a woman obsessed with bringing brutal killers to justice. The reclusive, bestselling true-crime writer and investigative consultant has made a life out of chasing monsters. And her powerful intuitions rarely fail her.
When three adults—loners, drifters—go missing, no one seems to notice except for Lydia. Enlisting the help of her friend, former FBI agent Jeffrey Mark, Lydia starts an investigation of her own. But when someone raises the stakes and goes after Lydia—just as fifteen years ago when she put the FBI on the trail of her mother’s killer—the real hunt begins.

Starts off slow. Gets pretty good towards the end. Then a quick, fast ending.

Can't think of any other way to describe! Really tried to hang in there and finish the book - but just never cared about the characters!! Thought "Lydia" was so one dimensional and Jeffrey a wimp!! Just didn't care about any of them - except maybe the dog that was killed!!

Really good book. Bad language was really unneeded and I won't read any more of her books because of it. It's too bad too because she is an excellent writer.

The main character was a little hard to like at first but hang in there....the reasons follow. Good mystery, kept me thinking. Will definitely buy her next novel,

The book was edgy but comfortable with a look into the human mind. I would read her next release no doubt.
