With Nickel, Ms. Noble changes, once again, the theme and the style of her novels. The opening of the book, a classical ex-boyfriend / insecure heroine theme, is deceiving. After the first few chapters, the intriguing personalities of the main characters unveil, action kicks in, and the ride begins. Sloane, Emmy's and Black's hyper-efficient secretary, reveals a sweet and generous personality and a sharp mind. Many have taken advantage of her selfless and bighearted spirit. For this, behind her polished and smart facade hides a vulnerable and insecure soul. Logan is a senior member of the Blackwood team. So far, Ms. Noble's readers have only seen him taking part in dangerous security operations. In Nickel, Sloane's misadventures with a stalking ex-boyfriend convince him to act on his longtime office crush. Throw in cyberbullying, catfishing, digital piracy, and unparalleled performances from Emmy, Ana, and Agatha, the newest member of the Blackwood tech department, and the result is a fast-paced, entertaining, intriguing novel, the perfect story for taking the reader's mind off today's dire circumstances.

Wow! Elise has done it again with Nickel! She tells Logan’s and Sloane’s story using humor and intrigue. Logan, a Blackwood operative, and Sloane, Emmy and Blacks’s top notch administrative assistant, are interested in each other, but resistant to express their feelings for each other. Logan’s attempts to retrieve Sloane’s personal property from her ex, the mother who loves the ex, the ever present office romance pool, or discovering why there are men after Sloane are guaranteed to provide reading enjoyment.

Nickel, the 9th book of the Blackwood Elements series. Is it possible to find love via dating app(s), especially when you didn't sign up? Sloane, Emmy/Black’s trusted PA at Blackwood Security, will soon find out. As her co-worker's step in to help, Logan takes a particular interest. Grab a beverage and settle in to take your mind off everything amidst the craziness of C-19.

Just like the books before Nickel Elise Noble does not disappoint. This was a fun, sweet, great read! Every book has its own unique story and this one was just as intriguing and kept me wondering what was going to happen. Loved Sloane and Logan and mostly Nickel. Who doesn’t love a good kitty in the story. As always I recommend this Elise Noble book and the whole series. Blackwood is my favorite group of characters out there. Enjoy!

I loved Nickel. Logan is simply a dream and Sloane is so likable and relatable. I have read every one of Elise Noble’s books and they never disappoint. The Blackwood Series is my absolute favorite. Blackwood followers will love seeing Emmy in on the fun. The storyline is interesting and unique. I stayed up until 4am and the read the book straight through. Elise Noble’s witty, sarcastic writing style leads to books you can’t wait to finish but never want to end. The characters are fascinating and the stories keep you hooked. I look forward to every new book. If you have never read any of the Blackwood books I highly recommend starting at the beginning - you will not be disappointed.
