Description

When Savannah Carter takes a job as a personal assistant in upstate New York, she never expects to be working for a man like Wade Hart. With his sparkling green eyes and devious smile, he is a man she both hates and adores. When their professional relationship becomes more intimate, Savannah is ecstatic … until she hears a phone call that changes everything.

"I never should have hired her, she can ruin everything."

Those words whispered by Wade on the phone shock her, but before she can confront him about what she's heard, he disappears, leaving only a cryptic note behind.

Suddenly Savannah's "too good to be true" job seems to be exactly that. What are the secrets that Wade is hiding from her? How is she a threat to him? And just who is her mysterious new friend Gordon, and why is he so insistent on being in her life?

While Savannah's heart is falling for Wade, her brain is telling her to run. Can the man who ignites her hidden passions be her happily ever after? Or should she heed the warnings and run back to New York City before she gets burned?

This is the continuation story of Savanah and Wade from To Whom It May Concern.  While Wade is gone, Savanah's best friend Lucy, comes to visit.  The more the two dig and research the darker Wade's secrets seem to get.  Wade seems to care about Savanah more than just his assistant but he cannot seem to confide in her.  Savanah is hearing rumors from different people around town and from Wade's mother.  She doesn't know what to believe.  Wade seems to be pushing Savanah away on purpose but then does something really sweet and he clearly doesn't want her to go.  Can she find peace about the whole situation or will she run back to NYC with Lucy? This book is my favorite of the two!! It is still steamy and short.  This book has twists and turns that were never expected.  I like Wade's character.  He is a darker character than some but he is broody and handsome and he can be really sweet.  In the end, we get to see why Wade is so secretive.  Savanah is still her independent and courageous self and I love that she doesn't give up until she knows the truth. I received a free copy of this book from the author and Bookfunnel.  I am voluntarily leaving a review which is my opinion alone.
  • Disappointing Finish

I enjoyed To Whom It May Concern (book 1) and was totally invested in the sequel, Return to Sender. Unfortunately, it was a truly disappointing ending. Where the first book was intriguing, this second book moved slowly and was wrapped up in Savannah and her friend Lucy speculating about the mystery surrounding Wade and his family. Return to Sender was a bit boring and to be honest, Savannah and Lucy irritated me. I think these books could have easily been one book and cut out most of the dialogue between Savannah and Lucy for better flow. I like J.S. Cooper’s books, and I really tried to like this one, but I just couldn’t. I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

Extremely disappointed. The writing was like an elementary school child and poorly edited. Storyline was very weak, this book took me 5 times longer to read than other books, it was painful. Don’t waste your money on this one...

In book 2 of this series, Savannah continues to give Wade a run for his money as his mouthy assistant. Things heat up; not just because she is now crossing the lines into his bed, but because she knows Wade and Henry are hiding something and she is determined to find out. She overhears a bit too much but before she has time to process things Wade leaves town. Savannah enlists her best friend Lily’s help to get to the bottom of things. Once Lily arrives in town nothing is off limits; these two are in a mission.. that is all I will say. Are the Hart brothers guilty of something? If so these two are gonna find out!! Let’s not forget about Savannah’s friend Gordon too; he makes another appearance in book 2 and there is definitely something off about him that will leave you wondering as well! Overall this was a good book! Nice easy read w a bit of a surprise:)

Savannah and The Wade Hart, characters were full of angst and speculation. The build up from book ones “To Whom it May Concern” cliffhanger had me on edge, and although all is revealed in book two, I will sadly admit, I was a little let down. I am still a huge fan of JS Coopers and cannot wait for what ever she has in store for us next.

After being intimate Savannah realizes that Wade is still keeping secrets from her. When she realizes that Wade has suddenly left for a week she invites her friend Lucy to visit and they look for clues to see if they can figure out what is going on with Wade and his brother. Some strange things start happening around the mansion and they have many unanswered question involving Wade and another man Savannah met in town. Will Wade return and be able to answer all of Savannah’s questions honestly? Can Savannah and Wade find happiness together? This book seemed to answer all of the lingering questions from book 1 of the duet but the ending seemed rather abrupt and I wish I had more details. I was left wondering when I was done reading if there wasn’t more to Wade’s story. I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving this review.

OMG never expected the twist in this story. I love how Savannah try’s so hard to stand up to Wade but but melts at his touch. I also love how Savannah melts Wade’s heart too. In my opinion Return To Sender is the perfect end to Savannah and Wade’s love story.
