Description

To The Single Dad in the Store,

You have the most amazing hazel eyes I've ever seen. And the pinkest lips. They are what my friends and I would call "insta-kissable." The things I could do to those lips!

Your kids are also cute. They're monsters, but cute. You are single, right? Or are you one of those creeps that just doesn't wear a ring? You could be on the "bangable dad" list. If such a list existed. (I may or may not be a little tipsy as I write this. Thanks for nothing, Captain Morgan.)

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that when you're in the veggie aisle at the store, you shouldn't just grab potatoes and melons from someone else's cart.

Your half-secret admirer,

N

P.S. If you want to know more, text me at the number on the back of this envelope.

To N (whose name could be anything),

First off, I'm not a creep. I am not married. I'm glad to hear I'm a" bangable dad". I'm assuming that means you think I'm hot as well. I wish you had handed me this note so I'd know if you had "insta-kissable" lips or "psycho" eyes.

I don't know why I'm texting this message back to you. Maybe a little bit of curiosity. Though they do say curiosity killed the cat. Do you also have kids? Mine are a handful, but I love them.

Send me a photo?

P.S. My name is Steele

I requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily writing a review. I liked the characters in this book. I found the opening scene interesting and entertaining. I liked most of the story. The immaturity of the female characters in the story was exhausting after awhile. I wasn’t a fan of the style of the dialogue back and forth which seemed repetitive. I loved that she finally got her act together. I loved the surprising reveal as well.

The interaction and quick witted remarks had me laughing out loud, which wasn’t what I was expecting. I loved that this story took me away from all the craziness of the world and just had me reading along and laughing. It was a quick read that I didn’t want to end but am so glad I got the chance to.

I am loving this series. JS Cooper does not disappoint in her stories. Nellie and Steele are wonderful and love their bantering back and forth. Love how their relationship goes from arguing about his "parenting skills" to them having dinner and then eventually to a happily ever after. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I enjoyed this series from this author, and this book was a fun addition. I enjoyed the banter between the two characters. Felt that the book a bit abruptly but it was still a good read.

I’m sorry but this book was JUST TERRIBLE!! I feel bad for writing this bc I don’t like to say negative things but this book was so bad I felt the need to leave a review to warn readers. All the characters had the same personality, same sense of humor, and talked the same. It’s like they were all the same person. The 2 main characters are ANNOYING and keep repeating questions back to each other and teasing each other to the point that is was repetitive. The dialogue was PAINFUL to get through. There was no depth to the characters or plot at all. This is by far the worst book I’ve ever read. I wanted to just stop reading half way through but finished it bc I kept waiting for it to redeem itself somewhere. It never happened. I waited months to read this book too. So so disappointing.

I usually love JS Cooper and I really enjoyed the first part of this series... but this book was terrible. The characters were both childish and unlike-able, and I didn’t feel like the main characters had any connection besides thinking each other was hot. They said ILY after 3 days, yes you heard that right DAYS. I stopped reading at 25%.... it was that bad for me. Definitely YA, even though the ages of the characters don’t suggest that.

I skimmed 🙈 I skimmed a lot. Let me just start off by saying this was the 6th book in the series. Not too many expectations, but it was just okay. I had a really hard time connecting with them and I was annoyed most of the time. This is definitely an easy read, as there was not much depth, and a super instalove story. The heroine was not the best, but man did I dislike the best friend. Sure, immaturity was expected, but man maybe too much. Is that a thing? I hope she is able to redeem herself in her book (next book in the series). The only reason why this is a 3 star review over a 2 star review was the jokes. I love sarcasm and boy was that in here. The banter was great. Highlight of the whole book. I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

First, I could not see myself doing a lot of the things that Nellie did to get Steele’s attention. I loved Steele’s humor, although somewhat warped. To me, Steele is the dream that every single female hope to find while in the grocery store. I feel Nellie lets Shelby push her around too much. I feel Nellie just wants her best friend to be as happy as she is, but I didn’t feel Nellie should have let Shelby push and talk her into the things that she does. I feel the banter in this book, like all that in this series, is more “real” than most authors put into their books. I look forwad to the rest of this series.
