Very good read.

An absolute delight! I love the strength of the main heroine and the chemistry she had with the hero. The plot was interesting and the dialogue fun. The story was filled with all the feels! I can’t wait to dive into more of the books in this series. Blayne MacNeil is Scottish and he has been hiding from his former life for twenty years. Charlotte finds Blayne in a tavern and convinces him to be her paid bodyguard. Charlotte then ends up having him as a fake fiancé. Charlotte and Blayne have a powerful pull towards each other. They both are fighting their growing feelings for each other. Charlotte is in trouble and Blayne wants to help her. Will Blayne be able to save her from herself? Will Blayne be able to prevent the wedding her father has made for her? Can Blayne help her find the person her stole her manuscript? Charlotte is a strong, brave, and passionate character. Blayne is charming, sexy, and protective. Blayne and Charlotte have great chemistry together. They are amazing together. Blayne does not think he is good enough for her. Can Charlotte convince Blayne that he is perfect for her? This is a cute and entertaining read. The story flows well and keeps you interested. This was a great book! I am looking forward to reading more books by Sophie Barnes. From London to Scotland and back, they chase the truth about the murder. When they return to London, Avery, Charlotte’s publisher has a shocking bit of information. Can Charlotte and Blayne clear everything up and find their HEA? It will be a rocky road to travel, but the destination is worth it. Interesting story, great characters, great read. I enjoyed it. I just love this series! One just can’t wait for the next book. This time back in the Black Swan, Blayne. has taken running of the tavern since Guthrie the new Duke of Windham has gotten married. In walks a beauty who takes his breath away. Seeing that one of his customers getting overly friendly with her, Blayne comes to her rescue only to realize she can take care of herself. Charlotte has come to the seedier part of London looking to hire a bodyguard and the man in front of her has potential. Both have secrets, both are not what the Ton think they are, both feel a attraction. A page turner with mysteries involved. One was predictable, the ending surprising. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story.
