Description

High in goblin infested mountains lies the ruins of Ter Dell, the lost stronghold of the dwarves. Evil lurks beneath layers of ice and broken stone, buried in a vault of gold, hungering for the day that man’s greed would see it unearthed.

That day has come.

For I am Rheanon, one of the adoptive daughters of Lady Eville—and I’m trapped in a web of deceit with the King’s deadly blades-enchanted beings that guard the king and hunt those with magic.

Beset by enemies, I must use my gift of alchemy to forge a sentient blade with ancient knowledge and a sharp edge. I needed a powerful weapon. I got a giant pain in the axe.

I have read all the books in the series and I’m happy to say that I wasn’t disappointed. But I felt like the book was a bit lazier and childish compared to the other books. The book was really interesting at the beginning but started calming down out of no where like how quickly Kash admitted that he loved her, how there wasn’t even a little bit of a fight before Rhea figured out greed’s secret, how there was no cliffhanger ,and how Rhea left and broke Kash’s heart over a misunderstanding. However I still enjoyed the book 🥰👍🏽
  • A fun story to fall into.

Chanda Hahn has really done it again! This book was everything I thought it would be and so much more! I really don’t know much about the Rumplestiltskin story, but this book really had me intrigued every step of the way! I have always been curious to read Rhea’s story and this did not disappoint! Every time a new book in this series comes out I re-read the whole series in anticipation! I cannot wait to read the ending to the 7 daughters of Eville!

I am absolutely enamored with the Daughters of Eville! To be honest I wasn’t thrilled at first about a retelling of Rumplestiltiskin, but after reading it I can confidently say I was wrong. It’s a fun, exciting, magical retelling of the story that will leave you satisfied. I absolutely love Rhea! She may not be as powerful as her sisters, but she can more than hold her own. I enjoyed all the new characters, especially Kash who is easy to fall in love with and Rumple who is hilarious. Past characters also make an appearance which is always exciting! This book is a must read as it connects previous books together and sets up for the final story. I can’t wait until the final book to see Honor’s journey and how the story ends.

With the backdrop being a Rumplestiltiskin retelling, this was a delight to read! Here we focus on Rhea, who is an alchemist and forger. I also really enjoyed learning how Rhea is a bookworm and, unless she has a charm or spell up her sleeve, uses books as weapons—literally. Despite feeling insecure at times, she is gutsy and smart and a highly talented sorceress. She is sent to Kiln to learn about mysterious earthquakes and a new threat. Along the way she meets Kash, who is charming and endearing. The two of them instantly forge a connection but not is all that it seems. We also see the return of familiar faces who assist Rhea in this journey and are introduced to Kash’s family and a loveable, humorous dwarf. We even see a hint of what Honor’s story may be about towards the end. Overall, I’m really enjoying this series and cannot wait for it to continue!

I absolutely love this book. I think it’s my favorite one to date!! Kash is my newest book boyfriend. *sighs* Rhea was told, it’s time for her journey and must go back to where it all began. Back to the Kingdom of Kiln. I was lost in the magical and fantasy world that the author created and I was alongside Rhea as she traveled to Kiln. It was a heart pumping ride, and I was on the edge of my seat reading several times. I enjoyed the light tones in the book that provided comedy in just the right moments. It wasn’t forced. My favorite secondary character, I must say is Rumple. He absolutely made my day when he would speak. Rumple was hilarious. I’m very eager to see what happens next with the next Eville sister. I’m very eager to see what the next fairytale retelling will be.
