Description

While protecting a dangerously attractive ex-agent, a former CIA operative must decide which asset is more important to him: his identity or his heart.

She’s running out of friends—and out of time.

CIA operative Elizabeth Aiken is on her own.  After a rescue operation in Venezuela goes south and her cover is blown, Elizabeth barely escapes the country with her life. Set adrift by the agency and with a price on her head, she seeks out the only person who can help her disappear.

Viper.

Unfortunately, the devastatingly attractive former operative wants nothing to do with her or the cartel-backed Venezuelan president who wants her dead. Worse still, if Elizabeth’s not careful, she’ll end up losing her heart instead of watching her back…and there’s no room for mistakes with assassins hot on her trail.

Helping her could destroy everything he’s worked for.

Former Marine-turned-CIA operative.

Current bar owner.

All-around badass.
Shane “Viper” Quinn has spent years constructing the perfect cover, and he’s not about to sacrifice it for a woman he barely knows. Even if she is strong and beautiful and makes him long for sultry nights that could destroy his carefully crafted life.
Still, Shane is forced to fight his growing attraction to the fearsome ex-agent while keeping her in one piece. Elizabeth’s enemies are now his enemies—and they aren’t going to stop until everyone who stands against them is eliminated. Will having the deadly Viper by her side be enough to save her?

  • Great hero and heroine trying to save lives

This book involves my favorite kind of heroine – a kick- butt, take action (not screaming in the background) kind of woman. And of course, the handsome protector as her partner. The story revolves around 2 ex-CIA agents who are in hiding because a corrupt politician in South America wants them both dead. It’s continuous action and excitement as they try to avoid an assassin and figure out a way to freedom from hiding. it had me hanging on the edge of my seat in a very enjoyable ride.

Another great romantic suspense from Adrienne Giordano. She has been a one click author for me for quite awhile. Her characters are multi dimensional and her plots are really good. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Faith and Shane along with Dusty, Trevor and Sully were all previous CIA or still in and working for the CIA. Faith is being pursued by the bad guys in Venezuela and ends up working with Shane. Lots of twists and turns, but that is what is fun with her stories, and this one was a page turner.

An action filled, fast paced story with a touch of romance and great characters! I've read a lot of Adrienne Giordano's books, and this one definitely goes to the top of my 'favorites' list. Liz and Shane's stories intertwine with a few secondary characters that are all likable and feel very real. Their adventures take you through the midwest and overseas in not always safe areas. The romance in the book is evident but not overdone. I couldn't put the book down, as I kept wanting to read about what happened next. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Dangerous and suspenseful! CROSSING LINES by Adrienne Giordano starts out action packed and held my attention throughout as danger lurked beyond every corner. The character stories were quick to pull me into the story and the danger kept me captivated. I didn’t feel like the story and relationship were fully developed, and the ending felt quite abrupt, but overall I was entertained throughout.
  • Rollercoaster ride

This latest book by Ms. Giordano, is the start of a new suspense romance series, properly titled , Deep Cover. Elizabeth Aiken is a woman who never expected to find her life turned upside down . A CIA operative whose last operation in Venezuela goes totally wrong, she is now fighting to stay alive. With assassins looking for her , she turns to former Marine and CIA operative , Shane/Viper Quinn. A man that has no desire to get involved with either Elizabeth or her problems. Even though the attraction is obviously there. But what is a man to do when his heart and his mind collide? Be ready for a rollercoaster ride, in which at times you will be holding your breath . Will Shane/Viper and Elizabeth survive the dangerous men? If they do, will they finally get their HEA or will each go their separate ways? From the start the plot was engaging and the characters complex. In this case , I appreciate the fact that the female character is strong and one that takes charge. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
  • Hang on for a terrific ride

Adrienne Giordano has outdone herself with Crossing Lines, her latest suspense/thriller/romance release. Ms Giordano is masterful in keeping her audience enthralled and on edge…as the story evolves and the momentum builds you are kept guessing until the final moments. With an intriguing premise, dynamic characters and rapid fire dialogue the pages could not turn themselves fast enough. In Shane and Faith you have a couple with palpable chemistry, though complete opposites, they complemented each other perfectly…the moments of frustration Shane experienced while trying to rein Faith in were some of the funniest for me. The moments of tenderness between them rounded out the entire story quite nicely. Regardless of the genre Adrienne Giordano writes in, I’m assured an engrossing story and the perfect escape vehicle. I’ve read all her books, in the variety of genres she’s written in and have found so many that I can say are my favorites…of the plethora of authors I’ve read…Crossing Lines is right up there among the best of them. This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
