Description

“One of the most enjoyable marriages of the fantasy and mystery genres on the shelves,”(Cinescape) the Dresden Files have become synonymous with action-packed urban fantasy and nonstop fun. Fool Moon continues the adventures of Jim Butcher’s most famous—and infamous—reluctant hero…

You’d think there’d be a little more action for the only professional wizard listed in the Chicago phone book. But lately, Harry Dresden hasn’t been able to dredge up any kind of work: magical, mundane, or menial.

Just when it looks like he can’t afford his next meal, a murder comes along that requires his particular brand of supernatural expertise. There’s a brutally mutilated corpse, and monstrous animal markings at the scene. Not to mention that the killing took place on the night of a full moon. Harry knows exactly where this case is headed. Take three guesses—and the first two don’t count...

Every time I get frustrated with how dense this character is, he makes with the magic and some pithy lesson, and I can’t help but buy the next book. I have a feeling that the story only gets better from here.

Dresden is a great character, he’s chivalrous, rebellious, powerful, just awesome. This book wasted no time getting to the action. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

It was good but the werewolf thing has been so overdone it's just not really original.

Jim Butcher is one hell of an author, his books always draw me in, Dresden can sometimes be a bit of a cat if you know what I mean, overall great book and a great series. I recommend it to all fiction lovers!!!

A marked improvement in the series. Less contrived than the first book and more risky. Chicago, as a living, breathing place, is much better represented in this outing. It still feels as if there's a bit of location name-dropping for it's own sake, but there is also a bit more knowledge and character guiding it. As I read further into the series, I can only hope it continues.

The Jim Butcher tales are filled with humor, adventure and a realistic idea of adult/childhood fantasy! I'm grateful to his sisters for setting him on his path!
