Description
Walt brings Western-style justice to Philadelphia in this action-packed thriller from the New York Times bestselling author of Land of Wolves
Walt Longmire has been Sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming, for almost a quarter of a century, but when he joins his good friend Henry Standing Bear on a trip to the City of Brotherly Love to see his daughter, Cady, he's in for a shock. Walt hasn't even put his boots up when Cady is viciously attacked and left near death on the steps of the Franklin Institute. He soon discovers that she has unwittingly become involved in a deadly political cover-up. Backed by Henry, Dog, Deputy Victoria Moretti, and the entire Moretti posse of Philadelphia police officers, Walt unpacks his saddlebag of tricks to mete out some Western-style justice.

5By Bigmads55Great mystery novel of cops and bad guys. All intertwined with love letters about The City of Brotherly Love.Wyoming
5By suannesGreat story, plenty of detail and mystery. Love the Indian lore.Longmire goes urban
5By judithoakThe story wonderfully told. Great plotting and dialogue, while also giving further elaboration and demystifying Vic Moretti's family and Philadelphia background . A great continuation in the series.Dissapointed
3By Very Happy Apple CustomerThe Sheriff’s badge is badly tarnished in this one, as he doesn’t have the ethical character portrayed in the first two books, and gets involved with his potty mouthed deputy. Plot is contrived and includes injuries to the Sheriff’s daughter putting a pall over the situation from the start. The setting is not in the West, in a city few are interested in. Brilliant writing and character dialogue, and the Native American (one of the Nations) spiritual scenes are outstanding. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have finished. Overall, the book left a bad moral taste in my mouth.Kindness Goes Unpunished by Craig Johnson
4By parman33The Longmire series is very entertaining and well written. They are a fun read that will hold your interest. Kindness Goes Unpunished as it is set in Philly versus Walt's home in WyomingLove it
5By papabob1He just keeps getting better ad more human! Tony Hillerman would have loved every word.Kindness Goes Unpunished
5By ReviewerNOWBetter than Crocodile Dundee. I enjoyed a cowboy and Indian chasing bad guys through the streets of Philly. This story builds the characters of Vic, the deputy and Cady, Walt's daughter, so you get to know them better. It was a page turner. Ciau.
