THE SWINDLE IS INGENIOUS
The conned: an Oxford don, a revered society physician, a chic French art dealer, and a charming English lord. They have one thing in common. Overnight, each novice investor lost his life's fortune to one man. The con: Harvey Metcalfe. A brilliant, self-made guru of deceit. A very dangerous individual. And now, a hunted man.
SO IS THE REVENGE
With nothing left to lose, four strangers are about to come together—each expert in their own field. Their plan: find Harvey, shadow him, trap him, and penny-for-penny, destroy him. From the luxurious casinos of Monte Carlo to the high-stakes windows at Ascot to the bustling streets of Wall Street to fashionable London galleries, their own ingenious game has begun.
It's called revenge—and they were taught by a master.
Reviews
Thoroughly Enjoyed it!
5By Roma27Thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. No, it will not go down in history as a work of literature, but it was fun and kept my interest throughout. It does have an "Ocean's Eleven" feel to it, but it is just a fun read, nothing more. And the ending was surprising - a good, unexpected surprise.not a penny more...
3By The U of M GooseI enjoyed the book. What I've learned to expect from Mr. Archer.Only Time will Tell
4By dwh1966Wonderful story!.... Like reading a script for Masterpiece Theatre! I can hardly wait for sequel!Typo typical
1By The STAZThis book contains - literally - thousands of typos. You will see words like "111" and "J6rg". It was evidently scanned and put on line without being proofed. Don't waste you money.Must read
5By DdonoBest book I've ever read... It's kinda like oceans 11 but better. You Must read this bookOk, but amateurish
2By PzldoerReads more like a Cliff notes version of a real book. Events and actions are more summarized than described. Mildly interesting plot, but completely unbelievable story with ridiculous dialog and no real character development.Garbagio
2By jonhxA weak, transparent story and embarrassingly bad dialogue... I wasn't expecting a classic, but this was a real bust. Skip it.
