Description
The third novel in the New York Times bestselling series about an advertising executive who loses everything and embarks on a walk across America: “definitely a journey worth taking” (Booklist).
Reeling from the sudden loss of his wife, his home, and his business, Alan Christoffersen, a once-successful advertising executive, left behind everything he knew and set off on an extraordinary cross-country journey. As he treks the nearly 1,000 miles between South Dakota and St. Louis on foot, it’s the people he meets along the way who give the journey its true meaning: a mysterious woman who follows Alan for nearly a hundred miles, the ghost hunter searching graveyards for his wife, and the elderly Polish man who gives Alan a ride and shares a story that Alan will never forget.
Full of hard-won wisdom and truth, this is a moving stand-alone story as well as the continuation of the unforgettable bestselling Walk series. The Road to Grace is a compelling and inspiring novel about hope, healing, grace, and the meaning of life.
Reviews
Living "The Road to Grace"
5By pillmanprn"The Road to Grace", the third in "The Walk" series, is a masterful work (as are the two previous books in the series) that you discover as you find yourself walking with "Alan Christofferson", the books main character. The reader finds himself living this incredible journey with "Alan" and laughing and crying in a roller coaster of emotions that he experiences on his journey. The life lessons he learns as he encounters the lives of so many people, change him, as it will surely change you. Richard Paul Evans masterfully draws the reader in to experience this heartfelt journey. Five stars plus as I anxiously await the next in this series!!! (I highly recommend that you purchase both the book and audiobook and follow along as the author narrates his own book. It's an incredible experience!)Road to Grace
5By OKAddyCindy Lou wondered if Alan makes it to Key West. The first few pages of The Walk describe his sitting on the beach there! So he does make it and somehow survives the brain tumor. I am eagerly waiting for the next book! The Walk

2By Texas baaGood concept but a very thin read. Didn't fully develop the main character nor any relationship with the secondary characters.Road to Graces
5By Cindy Lou 1Cindylou58 This book is wonderfully written. It is truly a Road to Grace for Alan's journey on his walk. Each person he meets on his journey has a story, all a learning lesson for him. I am actually touched personally with this third installment...for in a way I too am on a journey, my own Road to Grace. I look forward to book four to see what is in store for Alan, if he completes his journey and if he ever gets a chance to go back and visit some of the people that have made an impact on his life. The Road to Grace
5By stclair1Evans is a master storyteller. This book, as well as the previous two in The Walk series, is brimming with both fictional, and even more interesting, factual accounts and stories.Didn't find it as intresting as the other two.
5By pbrito0989I agree with Joni. It seems like Richard didn't put much effort in this book compared to the others. Put in too much history. The Road to Grace
3By Pedalon2Not as good as the first 2Love The Walk series
