Description
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is certain of three truths: People don’t just vanish into thin air. Never anger old people. And don’t do what Tiki tells you to do.
“The most popular mystery writer alive.”—The New York Times
After a slow summer of chasing low-level skips for her cousin Vinnie’s bail bonds agency, Stephanie Plum finally lands an assignment that could put her checkbook back in the black. Geoffrey Cubbin, facing trial for embezzling millions from Trenton’s premier assisted-living facility, has mysteriously vanished from the hospital after an emergency appendectomy. Now it’s on Stephanie to track him down. Unfortunately, Cubbin has disappeared without a trace, a witness, or his money-hungry wife. Rumors are stirring that he must have had help with the daring escape . . . or that maybe he never made it out of his room alive. Since the hospital staff’s lips seem to be tighter than the security, and it’s hard for Stephanie to blend in to assisted living, Stephanie’s Grandma Mazur goes in undercover. But when a second felon goes missing from the same hospital, Stephanie is forced into working side by side with Trenton’s hottest cop, Joe Morelli, in order to crack the case.
The real problem is, no Cubbin also means no way to pay the rent. Desperate for money—or maybe just desperate—Stephanie accepts a secondary job guarding her secretive and mouthwatering mentor Ranger from a deadly Special Forces adversary. While Stephanie is notorious for finding trouble, she may have found a little more than she bargained for this time around. Then again—a little food poisoning, some threatening notes, and a bridesmaid’s dress with an excess of taffeta never killed anyone . . . or did they? If Stephanie Plum wants to bring in a paycheck, she’ll have to remember: No guts, no glory.

5By Fairy BearyI love this series and all of the characters the author has created. I laugh out loud reading these books. I want more! Once I start reading, I can't stop. I read this book in one day.Disappointing
1By Katem1540This series is basically the same book nineteen times. I am beyond disappointed with this. I mean its been nineteen books and there is still no decision between ranger and morelli. It's just getting ridiculous. I thought for sure something would happen in her love life. But it's still just sleeping with morelli and kissing ranger. Seriously janet write a book where something actually happens in Stephanie's life instead of writing the same story. And the endings are always the same. This series started out good but just got to be repetitive and now I've lost all respect for this author for trying to keep this series going instead of giving readers a conclusion.Fabulous
5By OmgreallyLoved it!Fan of Stephanie Plum
5By Need a few moreGreat book just as all the others. Waiting on the next just to see what Stephanie can get her self out of.Slow moving!
2By Njoy3This book seems to ramble on about food, sex, etc. I could not identify with the characters as I am not as obsessed with food as they were! Stuck it out and finished the book, but I had the ending figured out well into the early part of the story. Not the best read!! I will not bother with her books again!Perfect
5By Taz123hottazI love all the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series!! Looking forward to more of her books!Notorious Nineteen
5By minigirl12I DID have difficulty downloading the book, which was very frustrating but when I finally got around to reading it, it was worth it! I laughed out loud many times while reading "Notorius Nineteen" and very few authors can consistently make me laugh out loud while also being entertained by a good story. Although some of the characters are very goofy, Ms. Evanovich manages somehow to make them funny and endearing while launching Stephanie from one disaster to the next often barely escaping with her life. Stephanie's desire to "do the right thing" masks her keen wit and terrier-like determination to get to the truth of each story. That she has hunks like Ranger and Morelli to occasionally bail her out only adds to the fun. I anticipate each new installment to amaze and amuse me and make my life seem quiet and safe, though slightly boring. I hope she never runs out of adventures! So predictable
2By reader0324I was really looking forward to reading this book, but just after reading a sample I can tell it's going to be same o'thing….we can pretty much predict whats gonna happen next based on the previous books. Stef is now with Morelli and Renger is always the guy who comes and rescues her from the trouble she gets herself into. I don't even think there is a need for more books or even the ending. Its obvious that she will marry Morelli at the end because he's the safe choice and Ranger isn't a marriage material. This was a fun series but I think it's time to move on to something new.
