Description
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Stephanie Plum has her sights set on catching a notorious mob boss. If she doesn’t take him down, he may take her out.
“The most popular mystery writer alive.”—The New York Times
New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum knows better than to mess with family. But when powerful mobster Salvatore “Uncle Sunny” Sunucchi goes on the lam in Trenton, it’s up to Stephanie to find him. Uncle Sunny is charged with murder for running over a guy (twice), and nobody wants to turn him in—not his poker buddies, not his bimbo girlfriend, not his two right-hand men, Shorty and Moe. Even Trenton’s hottest cop, Joe Morelli, has skin in the game, because—just Stephanie’s luck—the godfather is his actual godfather. And while Morelli understands that the law is the law, his old-world grandmother, Bella, is doing everything she can to throw Stephanie off the trail.
It’s not just Uncle Sunny giving Stephanie the run-around. Security specialist Ranger needs her help to solve the bizarre death of a top client’s mother, a woman who happened to play bingo with Stephanie’s Grandma Mazur. Before Stephanie knows it, she’s working side by side with Ranger and Grandma at the senior center, trying to catch a killer on the loose—and the bingo balls are not rolling in their favor.
With bullet holes in her car, henchmen on her tail, and a giraffe named Kevin running wild in the streets of Trenton, Stephanie will have to up her game for the ultimate takedown.

3By john matejkLuckily I paid only $6 We all love steph and Lu however, the author needs to put them out of their misery I hesitate to stop buying them. ... Maybe something will happen Too much of a good thing.Takedown twenty
5By BookwormiesBest one yet of the Stephanie plum series. You know it's good when you laugh out loud!Yawn
1By Michele-PCI have read the series and have enjoyed it up until the last few books. It's the same old thing...and on this particular book, I'm on page 81 after a week ( usually finish in a day ).It isn't a page turner and I'm not certain I will even bother to read until the end. Unfortunately I don't think I will be reading any future books in this series...very disappointed. I wonder, is Janet Evanovich even writing these and if so, what happened?$7.00 increase??
1By Yooper girl displacedI just went to purchase this book as I have read the rest. Seeing the poor reviews I felt that $6.99 was reasonable. I hit purchase and it wouldn't let me buy saying it was being modified. I hit purchase again and it was $13.99. Rude iBooks, rude.Disappointed
1By Tiff123445I love this series but this book was boring! Giraffe was just silly. Not even worth a 1/4 Star.
1By Ms Reviewer TooReally, really disappointed. All the same characters stuck in time. The silly things that made me like them before now just annoy me because they fail to learn or grow. And the retuning to be a 'ho' again especially ticked me off. I viewed her a someone not ashamed of her past, but having grown. She'd grown and now went back in time? Freakin' annoying! I can understand wanting to avoid the "Moonlighting" phenomenon, but the supporting characters could at least move on with life. Tank and Lulu with kids could be funny.Takedown Twenty
1By Plum fanCould have gone minus stars! Have loved this series but this one was beyond boring. Lula is just plain annoying and I would have her shot. Stephanie has gone from perky to pathetic! So disappointed. Glad I didn't actually waste money on this book....Author is slipping?
2By Claireese44Not sure what to think of the latest installment in the series that I so enjoyed in the past. I’ve read of of Janet’s “Stephanie Plum Novels” And have like all of them. But a few books back, noticed that the writing was lacking any real developments in the plot. After you insert the part’s where the author put’s in who the character’s are, descriptions of, etc. There is so little there. Just disappointed.Entertaining
3By GiolinniI have read all the books in this series. Considering this is the 20th book, it wasn't bad. It still is entertaining, but Stephanie Plum is losing some of her spunk apparently. I didn't have any laugh out loud moments as when I read some of the earlier books, but the read wasn't boring either. It almost seems like Janet is writing by just using the same old template and nothing new or terribly unexpected occurred. I still say this book is worth reading, but for fans who have read all the previous books in this series, this one might seem like just some more of the same old, same old. I did enjoy the read, but it wasn't something that I just couldn't put down. Overall a fun read, just not one of Evanovich's best.Takedown Twenty
5By TxStephanieAnother hysterical book about Stephanie's life as a Bounty Hunter! The story was cute and I laughed throughout. While I love Morelli, I'm with Stephanie on the overwhelming family involvement and decisions are made even more difficult when you throw that yummy Ranger in the mix. Can't wait for the next!!! Thanks Ms E for another great one!Waste of time
2By Jassy1I have enjoyed most of Janet Evanovich's books. The Stephanie Plum series has been very funny, but it looks like she's running out of ideas and the books are not as good as they used to be. Looks like she should in the series. It's getting kind of old reading over and over again how Stephanie seems to trash every car she's driving and blundering all of her captures. This was a waste of my time and my money.Okay, but not great
3By MandieUSAI used to read her books and laugh until I had trouble breathing! My family would ask me what was going on. I am sad to say that the recent novels just aren't as funny or bizarre. This novel is okay, but I had to push myself to finish it. Reciting the exact same scenarios is redundant and burdensome. Get some new ideas or retire these characters!Takedown twenty
2By MichaeleneMNot worth the wait, very disappointed. She is just phoning it in at this point and cashing her paycheck.Same old blah
2By NeatfreakphotogI used to LOVE this series. The giraffe in this one is just nonsense. Thrown in for interest that doesn't have anything to do with the real plot of the story. I get she has a formula for writing these books, but I'm thinking maybe she needs to rethink it. It's getting old. Normally these books make me laugh out loud. I was bored with this one.Tired
1By AjrVA7Don't expect anything new. This is the same tired storyline. It is a shame such a good writer is so "checked out" and just collecting a paycheck each book. I am done.Takedown Twenty
5By Zbear1962I'm still in love with these stories. Thank you. Very well down, I enjoyed the entire story. Loved that Lula was a major pert of the story line. Each character keeps the story alive. Well done and Thank you.Who are the characters again
1By t poeI am so tired of her telling who they are! Just tell us a story and get on with it except for eating there absolutely no reason to read these book
