- Genre: Romantic Suspense
Description
In this explosive page turner by a New York Times bestselling author, a book editor travels to a Southern island to work with a mysterious author–and ends up uncovering a shocking truth about a carefully concealed crime.
It's rare for an unsolicited manuscript to pique book editor Maris Matherly-Reed’s interest, but a new submission with blockbuster potential inspires her to seek out the author on an obscure island off the Georgia coast.
Parker Evans is a writer determined to conceal his identity as well as his past. As she begins to work with him, Maris suspects that his tale about a missing person might be closer to fact than fiction.
Disturbed by this realization–and her growing attraction to Parker–she searches for clues relating to a crime committed long ago. When someone close to Maris suddenly dies, an evil presence looms even closer: a man who will use anything–and anyone–to get what he wants . . .

5By L&Sforever13I hardly ever review books but I had to on this one. I found a paper back copy of this book when I was in a flea market and started reading it that day. I fell in love with this book instantly. The story stuck with me and I now have bought it for my iBooks so I can reread whenever I feel like regardless of where I am. I really did enjoy this book.Great Storyline

1By MJ845Be wary of Sandra Brown books. Evidently someone in her organization is listing old books, this one published August 2001, as new, because they are now in e-book format. A disgrace for such a good author.Fun Read
