Description
The first victim was a local PI of suspect reputation who’d been gunned down near the beach at Santa Teresa. The other body was found on the beach six weeks later—a homeless man with Kinsey Millhone’s name and number written on a slip of paper in his pants pocket.
Two seemingly unrelated deaths, one a murder, the other apparently of natural causes.
But as Kinsey digs deeper into the mystery of the John Doe, some very strange linkages begin to emerge. Not just between the two victims, but also to Kinsey’s past. And before long Kinsey, through no fault of her own, is thoroughly compromised…

W is for Wasted
2By Myob2Unfortunately, what was wasted was my time spent reading it. A good edit could have cut at least 1/4 of this book and resulted in a much tighter, more engrossing story. I finished it, but just barely.Change
4By Meelah04I like reading these, the plots are good but she doesn’t have much character development. Kinsey, she doesn’t change even after 5, or 6 yearsReSSssasSsEsssFtovawWW

5By ScolbouenI love all of Grafton's alphabet books. It is intriguing but not so complicated you can't put it down to take a quick dip in the pool and pick it back up where you left off. It has been my favorite just for fun n summer read.Best one yet.
5By JaeElle1This was my favorite Kinsey novel so far. I've read them all and this one was the warmest, most thoughtful yet. I feel like we got to see another side of Kinsey. Would recommend 10/10.W is for Wasted
