Such a fantastic book. Raine loves myths and urban legends, so imagine her surprise when a stone dragon she sees ends up coming to life…how fun is that, I know right? And then that dragon turns into a super hot guy…yes please. Lucius has been in a deep sleep of his kind that turns him to stone, and had no plans to wake up. He’s been asleep for hundreds of years, and is thousands of years old…so basically he is the very definition of older man. Because of her interest and job, she is really unfazed by what he is. Yeah when he first woke up she was trying to convince him she was not tasty to eat, and it was so funny. But other than that, she really does embrace what he is and not really fazed by it. After waking up, his memories slowly return to him, and he starts to remember who he really is, and the Forgotten Brotherhood, in his words the monsters sent to kill other monsters, aka the bogeyman for all paranormals. And then he is in pursuit to find out who used her as a pawn to wake him up. I think we all know when this Drakon goes on a hunt…it all gets very real. He is also more powerful than he was before he went to sleep, add in that he will protect his rare mate at all cost, you have a very dangerous assassin Drakon. Fantastic storyline, with some action, suspense, and twist. With great characters, she is chatty, quirky, and a ray of sunshine, a glasses 1/2 full kind of girl. I loved how they interacted with each other. He is very intense, calm, and very protective, so their interactions were quite entertaining. Safe read, mates. Epilogue and an hea. Next book please….always need more NJ Walters book crack.
