Description

If they want his immortality—they’ll have to take it…in the second deeply sexy and bold Lone Wolf Legacy series from New York Times bestselling author N.J. Walters

I’m used to other wolves coming for me. They want their chance to try and take out the infamous Gray Wolf. And every single one of them fails—because lone wolves aren’t like the others…we’re stronger. Harder. Meaner. Immortal.

But it also means I’m alone. No pack. No alpha. Just the three of us—white, gray, and black. Two too many, if you ask me.

But with power-hungry mages gunning for us, I don’t have the luxury of reflection. They’re in New York City, and I. Will. Hunt. Them. Down.

Which is when I see her, and every cell in my body is on alert, filled with the kind of primal longing I never knew I was capable of. Luna West may be human, but there’s some kind of thread connecting us. Call it destiny, fate…or voracious animal hunger.

I know she’s bait. She’s meant to tempt me, to make me weak. But even if I could resist her, I’m not sure I want to.

Because I’ve never denied my wolf anything…especially the chance to raise some serious hell.

And I’m not about to start now.

Each book in the Lone Wolf Legacy series is STANDALONE:
* Taming the White Wolf
* Protecting the Gray Wolf

    I have said it before, and I will say it again….I love, love N.J. Walters wolves. I cannot get enough of them, she cannot write fast enough for me when it comes to any of her wolf series, and this one is no exception. It’s so addicting, and I can never get enough. If you read the previous book, you know that normally there is only one immortal lone wolf in their world, but for some reason there are three right now, the white wolf, the gray wolf and the black wolf, and this book is the gray wolf’s, Kade Alvarez, which we also got to know a little bit in the first book aka the white wolf’s book. Being immortal always comes with a price, or prices in this series. And there aren’t just wolves in this series, there are other supernaturals as well, and they don’t always play nice if you know what I mean. This is definitely a cutthroat world, where every person is for themselves, and trust no one, because not everyone is as they seem. Kade follows his inner voice, and ends up in an art gallery staring at a painting of himself as a wolf….and so their journey starts….enjoy the journey, because it’s quite the roller coaster ride….you’re welcome. Fantastic and addicting storyline, I really can’t get enough, it’s just so good. Lots of twists and turns, with a side of soulmate romance. Safe read with mates, an epilogue that will have you saying what the, and a hea.

    Phew. This book. Kade and Luna. Clear your calendar before you start it - it was definitely an unputdownable, stay up too late, regret nothing in the morning kind of book. It had the perfect balance of danger, humor, love, real life issues, mystery, world building, evil, and spice. The sexual tension slowly ramping up in conjunction with the ratcheting up of the danger was delicious perfection. Kade is the immortal Gray Wolf, a lone wolf shifter who hunts and kills rogue wolves at the request of pack alphas and the knowing within himself. There are two other lone wolves in addition to him. Until a mage began hunting the lone wolves to steal their immortality, the lone wolves had awareness of each other but no direct contact. Luna is a human woman who is an artist. She has always been drawn to wolves and her dream companion from childhood has always been a gray wolf. Kade and Luna meet when he’s pulled to NYC, to an art gallery where Luna works and where a painting of a gray wolf is displayed. Even understanding the involvement of evil and the potential influence of magic, the draw toward each other is too strong to resist. While running and fighting for their lives and trying to solve the mystery of if they’re being manipulated, there is a lot of past baggage for both of them to unpack to get to their HEA. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, good world building, and a captivating storyline. While this is book 2 in the series, you’ll not be lost if you read this without reading book 1, but do yourself a favor and read both books you won’t be disappointed. I cannot wait for the final book about the black wolf.
