Description
An Apple Books Classics edition.
The Roaring Twenties are in full effect in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s riveting classic. Man-about-town Jay Gatsby seems to have it all, including loads of money and a massive mansion where he hosts wild, extravagant parties every Saturday. But Gatsby’s missing one thing: Daisy Buchanan, the love of his life, the one who got away.
The Great Gatsby explores the impossible, but uniquely human, longing to return to the past and the costs associated with chasing the American Dream. It’s a beautifully written, entertaining read with timeless emotional appeal.

Confusing
4By Amanda J. GreenI got lost at some bits of this book and had to re-read a couple of chapters. Still, beautifully written and clever.5/5
4By Dylan MTDefinitely a classic. I loved this book, and I enjoyed the diction in this book, but the long unnecessary imagery and describing was tedious. I will admit it is an overrated book, and the characters seemed shallow, naive, and completely unrelatable. It was hard to understand why they were so madly in love, making it harder to sympathize with Jay.nothing but love!!!
5By sum booksthis is one of my favorite books ever! i’m just obsessed with the way fitzgerald writes. i especially loved the ending of the book, it’s completely hypnotizing! with all the drama it basically turns into a train wreck that’s impossible to look away from!Re-re-re-read
4By WillBundy04I keep reading this for class. It’s good, but I’m very tired of it.Phenomenal
5By Harry, Ron, and Hermonie I have never read a book quite like this one, and I hope that I will read another book that will impact me as much as this one did. Such a beautiful and poetic story. The sad ending was absolutely necessary and Fitzgerald completed the character stories the way that they all should have been completed. I watched the movie the day after finishing this book (it was also absolutely breathtakingly beautiful) and the week after I finished this book I couldn’t even pick up another book because of how much this book was on my mind. It is a short read, but a truly remarkable one and I would recommend this to anyone who likes historical fiction or really just anyone that wants to enjoy a great poetic beautiful story.Book

5By Mineattention2UEven if Gatsby is rich, he still loves Daisy ideally. This bottom line is no longer comparable to Tom.Classic
