Description

An Apple Books Classics edition.

The Roaring Twenties are in full effect in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s riveting classic. Man-about-town Jay Gatsby seems to have it all, including loads of money and a massive mansion where he hosts wild, extravagant parties every Saturday. But Gatsby’s missing one thing: Daisy Buchanan, the love of his life, the one who got away.

The Great Gatsby explores the impossible, but uniquely human, longing to return to the past and the costs associated with chasing the American Dream. It’s a beautifully written, entertaining read with timeless emotional appeal.

I got lost at some bits of this book and had to re-read a couple of chapters. Still, beautifully written and clever.

It’s wonderful and a very quick read. Fitzgerald definitely has a way with words and I feel like I was reminded of so many beautiful words to use in every day vocabulary

Thinking about losing time when reading this book brought in excitement. The story, however, is encouraging from beginning to end. The story brings inspiration to the reader the entirety of the book. Thank you!

The person who put this on this app what do you think it doesn’t matter what other people think really it’s your opinion, so what do you think about this book? Is it exciting happy full of meaning and excitingly adventurous or is it boring and something you hate. I’ve heard a version of it and I think it’s pretty good, scratch that. Perfect for a very good story that gives you adventure and symbolism in life but the thing is what do you think?

This book is fantastic for its time and scratches into the American dream and analyzes familial relations and wealthy disparities in the east. With beautiful writing structure this book unravels the upper class and breaks it down into the simplest most disgusting group of people and reveals the greatness that power can corrupt.

Super boring kinda depressing. I do have to say it is a great literary work. The symbolism in this story is rich. From a literature standpoint, amazing! Beautiful! From a normal teenager being forced to read it standpoint… 😭🤢 I hated it so much. Also… There are other great examples of literature out there that are more interesting and that don’t include so much promiscuity. I did not enjoy it.

Not the way I expected! Very interesting story even though some parts weren’t what I typically read or listen! Tried to find the last movie version and couldn’t get a copy!
