1By DLMFUV62 boys and a girl at a magical school. One is the "chosen one." Sound familiar? Voldemort (death) and this villain, "the enemy of death."I could overlook all the similarities if it was good but it wasn't very entertaining at all. I loved TMI but this one wasn't it for me.AMAZING

4By StarfrostTheMoonwingActually extremegirl101, if u read closely, u will realize that cal doesn't finish his second year and is still training. He is only a few weeks into his second year. This means that he'll pass into the bronze gate in the next book. The only reason Cassandra made cal and everyone pass through the copper gate is because u had the choice of leaving the school after ur first year or u could pass through the copper gate and go on to training the next school year as a copper student . Make sense?Great book but big plot hole

I loved that book!😍😍😍😍 Accept one thing I noted was that (SPOILER ALERT) even though in the first book it says that there are several gates (one per year) they never went through a gate at the end of the second book. They also never finished the year! It only took them like a bit less than 2-3 weeks for their first mission but that isn't nearly as long as the school year! I am so confused and a bit disappointed. The book was amazing and full of detail but I feel something is missing.😔 I hope the third book helps this huge plot hole. 😬😶👍🏼👌🏼💁🏼 The book is amazing don't get me wrong but, it needs something more, the ending is good but it could be great!😆😂😍😘😝😚😉😊😄😆😃😀😄Awesomeness is a noun now…

2By JusticechristI love Cassandra Claire and have read all of the TMI books. Though I know this a 7 book series I feel very cheated. The lack of content in this book is overwhelming/underwhelming. There is no foreplay. This book gets straight to the point and ends abruptly. I waited a whole year for this book and felt like I wasted my time. Not only is the plot suspiciously familiar *coff* Harry *coff* potter, but the school year was not exploited nearly enough. Or as much as it was explained in the first book. This is the second year of school for our characters and it would've been nice to learn more about what their school year consisted of. We got a very dry story and honestly very flat. Great ending to segue into the next book but no content, no real build up. I'm not fully blaming this on Cassandra I hope the next book is better. I hope I also lose the feeling that Dumbledore is going to be one of Mage masters or that Harry is going to be copper student next book!!!!Awesome
