Description

She was only supposed to be a tenant, but when she was threatened because of him, she became so much more.

Renting out the apartment over his garage shouldn’t be a life-changing decision, but when Delta soldier Cormac “Fletch” Fletcher meets Emily Grant, he feels an instant connection. He can’t stand the thought of Emily and her young daughter living anywhere unsafe. Offering cheap rent is a small price to pay for their safety…and Fletch’s peace of mind.

Being a single mother is difficult at best, but renting the extremely affordable space from Fletch makes Emily’s life a lot easier…until it doesn’t. Suddenly all the money she’s saving thanks to Fletch’s generosity is going into the hands of a blackmailer. And what little food Emily can afford goes to her daughter Annie, so the girl doesn’t go to bed hungry…leaving Emily weaker and weaker.

When miscommunication has Emily assuming Fletch is in on the blackmail, he not only has to gain her trust, but also deal with a man holding a grudge against Fletch and his entire Delta Force team. A task made more difficult when the dangerous man gets his hands on Emily and Annie...

** Rescuing Emily is the 2nd book in the Delta Force Heroes Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

This book was a waste of money! The first book was great, but this one had an unrealistic storyline. To believe that Fletch was in on a blackmail plot is too ridiculous to consider. She never asked him about it, she just assumes he is because he talks about his friends. I really liked the characters, just NOT the story plot, if you can even call it that.

It was a good story except for the sexy parts which I bypassed. Why do authors think their has to be graphic sex to make a book good? I will be very careful and not select your books again. Enjoyed the story but I do not need to read descriptive sex.

This love story that’s not just between a man and a woman but her child as well gives you all the good feels! Her soldier and his friends are brave, sexy, and will always take care of their own!

The plot in the beginning needs to be reworked. It was difficult to get past it. It didn’t make sense on how she got black mailed and believe Fletch was in on it. But once I got far enough into the story, it was much better. And Fletch’s character was written well. So I’d give it 3.5 stars. I think if this wasn’t a gift book, I would be somewhat annoyed due to how the plot was written early on. But as a gift book, it was sweet.

Fletch and Emily’s story is wonderful. Each finds the other attractive and special, but a miscommunication causes Emily to think the worst of Fletch and succumb to a blackmailer. When Emily falls ill, Fletch is determined to get to the bottom of things. Throw in a precious and precocious six year old, the rest of the Delta squad, and a truly mad rogue soldier, and you have quite the tale.

The first book in this series was fantastic...this one I felt was lukewarm. The military speak and some of the scenarios don’t seem at all realistic like the first book did. Also I’m wondering if this author doesn’t marry any of her characters. I won’t post a spoiler to explain why I feel that way but end of the book was odd.

This book has it all great writing, great storyline and characters you immediately fall in love with! It kept me on the edge of my seat while also making me laugh! Emily and Fletch were HOT and little Annie is a smart and funny, sweet little girl. I LOVED it and can't wait for the next Delta Force book!!
