PRAISE FOR C.J. ARCHER'S GLASS AND STEELE SERIES:

"Part romance, part mystery, part magic; all of which a joy to read." -  Dreamer J's Book Reviews

"This story has everything I look for in a quality, entertaining piece of fiction. 1) A strong female lead, 2) a dark and mysterious male character (I admit, they are my weakness), 3) eloquent writing, and 4) lots of quirky humor and banter." - Danaye from Young @ Art book reviews

DESCRIPTION: THE APOTHECARY'S POISON

When a newspaper report of a medical miracle catches Matt's eye, he and India go in search of Dr. Hale in the hope he is more magical doctor than miracle worker and can lead them to Chronos. But Hale turns out to be an apothecary magician keen to educate the public about magic.

Their disappointment at not finding Chronos is soon forgotten when Hale is murdered, and Matt becomes a suspect. With Matt's nemesis Sheriff Payne influencing the investigating detective, India and Matt know they must find the real killer, or risk his freedom, and ultimately his life. Time is running out as they hunt for a killer capable of turning medicine into poison with a magic spell, as well as continue the search for Chronos. A search that must end in success before Matt's malfunctioning watch stops altogether.

I would so like it though, after reading 4 books for the Matt to finally be healed! I love the characters they are entrancing! The location and times are refreshing and add depth and quality to the storyline!! Though I believe Matt’s cure would alleviate an angle it would also make it less a day distracting element, to further developing their relationship and personalities! Thank you anyway !

The Glass and Steele series (I'm on book 4) are perfect reading. There is just enough suspense mixed with romance to keep it light, interesting and moving along. The characters are quirky but relatable. This isn't overly complex writing, but sometimes you just want entertaining stories. I highly suggest digging into this series.

I just read all three India Glass novels straight through and I really enjoyed each one. I read lots of books...lots...and many of those are mysteries so it's hard for me to find ones that are unique. The combination of mysteries to solve, a bit of magic, and a smidgen of romance are so well combined in these novels. The plots are well thought out, the characters are interesting and the magic gives everything a special twist. I've pre-ordered the fourth one with anticipation. Thanks for these good reads and for offering them at a reasonable price.
