Lovesick

The trauma she endured doesn’t match the rest of the story. Not a fan if this one.

I love TL Smith. This is an older book. Its a shorter story with lots of love in it, different kinds to be specific. There is lust, falling in love, true love, controlled love, parent love, friend love, family love. I didn’t know where Lovesick was going but this was Kee’s journey of finding her true love. It could turn off some readers due to violence, but I encourage you to give this book a try. Kee had to endure a lot to get where she ended up.

I was totally onboard, hooked, all about it, and then Khol… After that, couldn’t read another page. I was too disappointed and just not into it anymore.

this book had me hooked from the first 2 sentences. it was a whirlwind of emotions the entire way through and while I was rooting for her and Khol, I understand why what happened - happened. beautiful story.

I love it when I can connect with a book on an emotional level and I did Shed some tears a couple of times throughout this book. I experienced that stab of pain you get in your heart and that sick feeling you get deep down in the pit of your stomach when something so bad happens you wonder if your ever going to survive it. This is the emotional yet gripping story of Keegan (or Kee as her family know her) her story will tug at you heart strings while ripping your heart out. The journey of Keegan is not for the faint hearted, it's about a girl who is to broken to function on most days, a girl who wants that epic love (that this is IT) we all close our eyes and wish for and a girl who wonders if she will ever be able to leave what makes her unhappy. Jamie, Khol & Macca these men each play a role in Kee's life, there are some good, some bad and downright ugly times but don't think for one second you think you know how this is going to end because you will be wrong. Once you start though you won't be able to stop because you will be hooked. I cannot recommend this book enough, it is RAW & emotionally Intelligent. It is also cleverly written from dual perspectives and transcends from past to present in a way that flows and helps you as the reader understand the backstory. That will leave your soul gutted, pulse racing and your mind spinning! Since T.L. Smith steam rolled over me! Like freight train hitting me head on! Yes!!! I came unhinged. By the sheer force of the twists. Gasping for air and making sure I wasn't having a heart attack. Then there I was gutted and weeping like a disheveled child! But I would do it again in a heartbeat! Since LOVESICK was a beautiful raw story of broken souls! Which epically blew my mind away!
