5By Waiting to be fixedThis is the second book in the Hunters series, and it is a captivating read. It can be read as a standalone. I will caution those with triggers to proceed with care. From the beginning, I was mesmerized by the dynamic between Kyson and Kalilah which kept the pages turning. Kyson is a contract killer who is thinking about leaving the business when an encounter at his ex’s wedding has him caught up in something that leaves him with a decision to make…Kalilah is a woman who is down on her luck and is running from an abusive relationship. In order to make ends meet, she crashes weddings so that she can eat and drink. Talk about two people who dislike one another, oh my! Add in the witty banter, character depth, suspense, world building, and overall madness yields this gripping read that you will not be able to put down. I do recommend reading Moments of Malevolence first and enjoy that ride.
