Georgiana Rutherford, the widowed Duchess of Hardcastle, longs for a passionate affair. And when the enigmatic and ruthless Mr. Rhys Tremayne, better known to most as the Broker, crosses her path, the attraction between them is undeniable. But she cannot possibly truly feel this way for this man.
Rhys Tremayne has built his wealth and empire on secrets dealt on the black market of the London underworld. He is determined to remove his sisters from the depraved world they’ve known their entire lives. And the duchess appears to be the perfect sponsor for his sisters’ introduction into respectable society.
Except the more he gets to know the beautiful and kind Georgiana, the harder Rhys falls, even though the most they could have is love in secret.

5By Jnelle87This was definitely a nail biter; passion, humor, class and a couple interesting plots. The ending was totally rushed, but the book is worth a read.Duchess by day mistress by night

5By Cynthia Y.I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book. This book was hard for me to put down. The story captured my attention from the start. I loved Rhys Tremayne and the combination of being ruthless to get what he wanted, yet kind to those he loved. Georgiana was likable as well though sometimes I disliked the actions she took. That being said, I understood why she behaved the way she did. I loved how Georgiana and Rhys had honest conversations, revealing their feelings and being vulnerable with one another. I recommend this book and can’t wait to read the others in this series.
