5By okay-65Spell binding from beginning to end. Well written and I really enjoyed the hero and heroine. Who would have thought a fake betrothal to a reclusive Duke that no one has seen in the last 10 years would end in happily ever after. Well worth the price. This is a book I would enjoy reading over and over again.Made me cry
5By ArjenyIt did made me cry when the Duke was talking to his cousin Eugene. Love the bantering between Kitty and Duke as well the approval of the household. However I wish the revealing of she’s having his baby was included. Overall I’ll continue to read the rest of the series.So heartfelt

It was one of great strength and relentless perseverance. I’ve read many, many historical romance novels over the years, and this one has become one of my favorites. The banter between them is fun to read; Kitty’s patience and loyalty toward Alexander and his acceptance of her unique spirit makes it impossible not to fall in love with their story. A unique book which is why I’m not sure why some reviewers are calling it an updated Beauty and the Beast story. Looking forward to reading more of this author who makes sure to character develop, pacing is great, and you’re getting a full meal instead of a skeleton of a story.Darling book
