Description

“Gripping…a first-rate nail biter.”

 —Tampa Tribune

James Rollins—the author of The Doomsday Key, The Last Oracle, The Judas Strain, Black Order, and other pulse-pounding, New York Times bestsellers—carries readers into the heart of darkness in his classic thriller, Amazonia. Lincoln Child, New York Times bestselling co-author (with Douglas Preston) of Cemetery Dance and other Agent Pendergast thrillers, raves, “Amazonia grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go until the very last page is turned.”

Creativity at its best- James Rollins really paints a picture with his grabbing words. It’s folklore completely conceivable and within scientific plausibility.

Would make a good action movie. Some parts are rather familiar, but, all in all, an enjoyable story.

Another great book from JR. Fantastic characters and a plethora of interesting Amazonian facts. I enjoyed the plot...the book was well-paced and action packed. If you liked this book I recommend JR's The Last Oracle, Judas Strain, Skeleton key (short), Devil Colony. Check out Nick Drake's Neferti...I truly enjoyed this book as well.

I haven't read a fictional book in many years. I chose this book mainly to try out reading on the iPad and not really sure if I would get very far into it. However, In the first few minutes it drew me in, and then I couldn't put it down. I finished in just over a day and totally loved it. Would love to see a movie based on it.

Awesome book. He kinda follows the same format in terms of characters as a few of his other books I've read. But this was every bit as good as subterranean.

Amazonia was a fun and engaging read. Interesting characters and action. The detail about jungle plant and animal life was woven into the story beautifully.

Hands down my favorite Rollins adventure book and I've read at least a dozen of them. He does not disappoint. Also, if your into fantasy, check out his other pen name James Clemens. You will be glad you did...
