My rating system:
5 stars are reserved for books that totally blow me away. I don’t give too many of these out, since it is almost like giving the book a 100%. It is nearly impossible to write a truly perfect book.
4 stars for books that I would recommend to just about anyone, or, at least, to someone who doesn’t dislike the genre.
3 stars for books that I would only recommend to someone with a strong interest in the particular genre.
2 stars for books that I would be hesitant to recommend to anyone at all, but the book was not a total disaster.
1 star for books that were so terrible or ridiculous for me that I wish I had not wasted time on reading it to begin with.
Another Great one from Rollins.

Exciting throughout. Great characters, involved plot but very easy to follow. Interesting side info. Perfect read for me!

I have only read a few James Rollins books, I'm not even threw with this one. Having a hard time putting it down, this is an amazing read.

Over all, a pretty decent read. It was pretty similar to Amazonia which was annoying anddd... Albino tarantulas...? Really...?
Great book, dirty publisher tricks...

This really is a great book. The only problem is I read it ten years ago. James Rollins writes stuff I really like to read. I'll buy anything he publishes. So when I saw this book with cover art I had never seen before and a publish date of October, 2009 I hit the buy button. Once I opened the book I realized it was a ten year old book that I had read already. Now I don't mind the seven bucks so much and I don't really mind throwing James a little extra cash. I do mind how publishers are playing with publish dates on iBooks to confuse readers as to how new or current the book is. Granted, I should have looked a little deeper and at the end of the day it is my fault, but I've read more than 500 books and it's easy to forget a title from a decade ago. Publishers, please post the original publication date to make things clear for your readers. That being said, this is a solid book and a great place to get started with James Rollins. Buy it.
