Description
A New York Times Bestseller
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn comes the story of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, in the fourth of her beloved Regency-set novels featuring the charming, powerful Bridgerton family, now a series created by Shondaland for Netflix.
COLIN AND PENELOPE’S STORY
Penelope Featherington has secretly adored her best friend’s brother for . . . well, it feels like forever. After half a lifetime of watching Colin Bridgerton from afar, she thinks she knows everything about him, until she stumbles across his deepest secret . . . and fears she doesn’t know him at all.
Colin Bridgerton is tired of being thought of as nothing but an empty-headed charmer, tired of the notorious gossip columnist Lady Whistledown, who can’t seem to publish an edition without mentioning him. But when Colin returns to London from a trip abroad, he discovers nothing in his life is quite the same—especially Penelope Featherington! The girl who was always simply there is suddenly the girl haunting his dreams. When he discovers that Penelope has secrets of her own, this elusive bachelor must decide . . . is she his biggest threat— or his promise of a happy ending?
Reviews
All time favorite!
5By nigh10galeI love love LOVE this book! Julia Quinn is amazing and so is the Bridgerton series but this is my favorite with Penelope, who is just so relatable, and Colin.Ever wonder how we choose our spouses?
5By ElevenissIf men only married beautiful and perfectly formed women (and I've learned men have a very and varied definition of that!), very few of us would be married. Here is a book that sheds some light on that mysterious process--it's all about how the one makes the other feel. Looks fade, character lasts forever--and certainly for 12 years! How I have enjoyed Penelope's character in this series, from when she was first that "citrus fruit" at the masquerade. Brava!! Enjoy!Fave among the Bridgertons
5By SublimewinkyThe best in the Bridgerton family, although Anthony's story is pretty sweet too. Love this family! The Perfect Summer Read
5By J. Norton"Romancing Mr. Bridgerton" is a truly wonderful read about unspoken dreams and love. This is a book about what life is like for a spinster who never "took" and about the dreams and desires that are not expected to be fulfilled. I found this novel to be an outstanding one, and one that was definitely worth treasuring.I Love This Book!
4By FilStar2010Colin is my favorite Bridgerton, therefore, I absolutely loved reading this book. He and Penelope are very likable characters. Readers finally learn who the gossip columnist Lady Whistledown is.A Good Read.
4By CrownPrincessI couldn't put this book down. The two main characters have a lot of depth and I fell in love with them. The book has some spots that weren't needed (which is why I gave it 4 stars), but all-in-all I didn't regret buying it.
