Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

Book Way Better Than Movie
5By theDrewski1995I’m ashamed that I ever liked the movie. The movie misses so much of the book. I love this book seriesMovie rating…
1By PlasmaBolt88The movie was ok, but I don’t like how they switched parts of the movie. Like Brom’s death. Brom was supposed to die by the Ra’Zac but got killed by Durza. The movie absolutely sucked.Takes a while to read, but worth it!
4By V. H. MatosSo many things happens in this book that, I’m taking a vacation before starting the next in the series. I need a 12 hour nap, but the story was amazing! The writing never felt boring, good characters and dragons of course!I love this book!
5By Firepaw!:)I love how the author put in multiple characters and made it very interesting and how I couldn’t put this book down at all. I really hope he puts more books in the series. TO ADULTS ONLY: Hello to the adults who are reading this OK so kids like me are making reviews and some adults can get a little off here and say things that kids might copy and they might get in trouble so please let everybody don’t say anything like that so we can keep this place as safe as school friendly also kid friendly. TO KIDS: DO NOT copy people!Really Good!! Maybe a bit slow….
4By Walkerboy7I love dragons so so much!! So for my birthday, my brother bought me the first two books of the Inheritance Cycle. I’m only 13, so I found it a bit hard to read. Maybe a little old for me, but super cool. The world I suddenly found myself in was epic. Alagaësia is so whimsical and large!! I thought it was something different to have an evil king being the ruler. Interesting idea. I love Roran, and Saphira’s good too. My favorite character is probably Murtagh though. He’s fun! Arya is cool too, but maybe a bit too tough. Why, Eragon, do you have to like her?? She’s so hard to get! 🤦🏼♀️ It was a good story overall, and clearly Christopher Paolini is VERY talented. I thought it was creative to have completely different languages. But.. . It does get a little bit annoying when you HAVE to go in the back of the book, look up the phrase to understand what they’re saying. Often times I don’t even cuz it’s annoying. But really good. Talented and very well written.Title fit the book
5By sheridan marieIt was an amazing book!! Eragon and Saphira were amazing characters! And the storyline was awesome as well. Over all this is a 10/10 book read and I would 100 % recommend it!!!Sllllooooooow burn

5By HuddexhvjkIt’s super cheap for the new world this brung into my life I love this book my dad read this as a kid and now I’m reading this book and thinking wow my dad had some great taste in books and teens my age are on their phones but I read this book an hour a day and it is the best book and it’s long and I’m only on book two out of what like five but these books are amazing truly a work of artIdk why I think this
5By Konnor18Is it just me or are the dragons bald? It’s a good book. Don’t know why they look bald to me though.Joe
5By Jashby565My favorite book as a child, I am glad to read through the series againLots of fun
5By DanielniedersomethingRead this to my kids for bedtime a little at a time. We read the Hobbit and the LOTR series so the kids were keyed up for fantasy adventures. It’s certainly not Tolkien but nobody really should be. Very accessible for young ones but deep enough to keep me interested as well. We’re looking forward to the next oneEragon
5By WarmWind from ShadowClanI read Wings Of Fire in a restaurant in Seattle and the waitress recommended Eragon. I kind of forgot about it until we moved to two hours away and I saw it in my library on audiobook. The pronunciation is hard, and if you have trouble reading difficult words listen to the audiobook on Libby or CDThis book was so good
5By SilverMoonlight256Definitely recommend it for medieval time lovers, and dragon lovers. Also for those of you who haven’t seen the movie for this, please watch it, it’s just as good as the book (at least in my opinion) And for those of you who didn’t know there WAS a movie, there is. But only the first book was done.Eragon
