Description
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • “Bestselling author [Kristin] Hannah [brings] snap and a lot of warmth to a familiar lesson: that contentment comes from accepting each other’s flaws.”—People
Years ago, Meghann Dontess made a terrible choice that cost her everything, including the love of her sister, Claire. Now, Meghann is a highly successful attorney who doesn’t believe in intimacy—until she meets the one man who can change her mind. Claire Cavenaugh has fallen in love for the first time in her life. As her wedding day approaches, she prepares to face her strong-willed older sister. Reunited after more than two decades apart, these two women who believe they have nothing in common will try to become what they never were: a family. Tender, funny, bittersweet, and moving, Between Sisters skillfully explores the profound joys and sorrows shared by sisters, the mistakes made in the name of love, and the promise of redemption—all beautifully told by acclaimed author Kristin Hannah.
“Enormously entertaining . . . Hannah has a nice ear for dialogue and a knack for getting the reader inside the characters’ heads.”—The Seattle Times
“Hannah writes of love with compassion and conviction.”—Luanne Rice

Unlivable characters
1By cbeth19I didn’t like this book because the characters were so unlivable. Hard to care about why they were so messed upAbsorbing

5By Someone had a great idea!I held onto this book for about a year before jumping in and reading it! I just finished and want Kristan Hannah to know how very much I enjoyed everything about this book! I enjoy the easy style of her writing, not too many characters, not too wordy or too many storylines at one time! I bought this particular book because of the title! Growing up I shared a bedroom with one of my sisters, We were three years apart and looked like twins. We were also the only blondes in our rather large family! My sweet sister became very ill during her first year of high school and my last year! Unfortunately, she only survived long enough to graduate!! Two months later she died!!! It was incredible how much I identified with how each of the characters reacted and dealt with her illness and possible death!!! Miss Hannah did a wonderful job and I thank her for being brave enough to write such a thoughtful book 💞Predictable
2By I'm new at thisNorthwestern literary version of a Hallmark movie. So many unrealistic things in this book, (like peoples’ assumptions, a 6yr old’s behavior and speech) it was a real disappointment after her other stories.Brilliantly written and heart wrenching
5By KC Rainbird tunesBeautiful story about the most difficult topics , death and loss and its after effects on each family memberSlow start
4By IreeneGTook a while to get in to the story. But after the first half it picked up, and many tears were shed! Not my favorite by far
1By TLHgirlI loved The Great Alone and Nightingale. This novel is predictable and repetitive. I am trying to finish it but feel like I am wasting my time. The Great Alone is the book to read, not this one.Wow! What a read
5By AmmasdollsThis book is a phenomenal read. As a recovering cancer patient (not the same as in book) it really hit home for me. I laughed, I cried and felt as if I was reading a movie. I cry watching most movies. It was as real as life. Way to go Kristin. I have read quite a few of your books and they get me every time. Keep writing about real life.
