NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • An archaeological expedition digging where it shouldn’t ... A crown so powerful it is rumored to be cursed ... And the one man who can explain it all ...
Deep in a nearly impassable swamp south of the Egyptian border, an archaeological team is searching for the burial chamber of King Narmer, the fabled pharaoh. Narmer's crown might be buried with him: the elusive "double" crown of the two Egypts. Amid the nightmarish, disorienting tangle of mud and dead vegetation, strange things begin to happen. Could an ancient curse be responsible? Jeremy Logan, history professor and master interpreter of bizarre and inexplicable enigmas, is brought onto the project to investigate. What he finds raises fresh questions ... and immediate alarm

Good for a long ride and you forgot the book you wanted
3By Lvfrogman1Starts out just to slow and really doesnt take off. Lost my attention due to that. Then it becomes predrictable .Great Read!
5By All about BDsI've been a fan of Lincoln Child because he never fail to entertain, and this sure does that! It has also imparted knowledge of Egyptology. His books always seem to be well researched. Keep reading!Third Gate
2By Spanielman1I think Lincoln Child is a better writer with Douglas Preston. This was a real disappointmentLiked this book
5By Eyeballman47Great read, enjoyed a lot!The Third Gate: a submerging story
4By DvoylesThough fiction, The Third Gate forces the reader to submerge ones self into the historic 'semi' facts and riveting character builds accompanied by a gripping story line. A must read for any mystery enthusiast. On the edge of my seat.
5By VITAMINDEVOThis book kept me guessing from start to finish. It is very well written the story although complex, is very easy to follow. All the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I would definitely recommend it as a twisted modern day Indiana jones / meets sci-fi twist.Awesome book!
5By Gman194This one was quite the page turner. I really enjoyed every page and highly recommend it!Disappointment
3By RogerM69His jointly written novels are awesome. He is obviously the weak link....Third Gate is 1st rate!
5By TJ5599Another terrific Lincoln Child novel! I was hooked on Thunderhead several years ago and have read all of Mr. Child's other novels as a result. Could not put this book down. Just an awesome story.C+
2By leslie9170I was so needing a good book. Dang! The characters were one shallow, the plot was transparent, and the "spooky ancient spiritual" malarkey was, ... Well, malarkey. C+ for a first novel. Oh, not a first novel? Then, no excuse.
