Description

He’s as cocky as they come, and she’s only interested in playing it safe. Rookie Lucy de Costa doesn’t break the rules, and she sure as hell doesn’t fall for other firefighters. Especially not when they make her feel as reckless as veteran rescue squad firefighter Sam Faurier does. With his overconfident attitude and his scorching-hot smile, she needs to keep him at arm’s length if she wants to stay on the straight and narrow. But when he makes a split-second decision that gets them both in over their heads on a call, Lucy is the only person who can help him catch a ruthless arsonist. Even if she can’t resist catching feelings for her sexy bad-boy partner in crime, too… Boiling Point is a FREE short, sexy prequel to the full-length standalone, Sizzle. It contains an extended bonus scene that will not be published with the full-length book, as well as hot banter, delicious tension, and a cliffhanger that leads to the novel.

  • Exciting and tantalizing prequel

I really enjoyed this beginning of Lucy and Sam’s sizzling romance. This prequel does not get us to their HEA, it is just the start of the sizzling chemistry and attraction between them and the set up for the suspense in their upcoming story. As long as you understand that, you’ll enjoy this prequel. Since this is a prequel to the Remington Rescue Squad series, we get some background on Lucy, a firefighter on engine, and Sam, part of the elite rescue squad, we witness the beginning of their love story and get a feel for the dynamics of Station Seventeen fire and rescue. The story ends on a sort of a cliffhanger. Despite being short, the prequel was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline. Clearly I am going to read the rest of their story in Sizzle, book one in the series, because I am hooked in now. Bring on the suspense, the steam, and the swoons.

This book was so good. Kimberly Kincaid packs a lot into this short story and has left me wanting more. So glad to know I will get more of the story in Sizzle.
