Description
The long-awaited explosive climax to the first arc of the #1 New York Times bestselling Stormlight Archive—the iconic epic fantasy masterpiece that has sold more than 10 million copies, from acclaimed bestselling author Brandon Sanderson.
Dalinar Kholin challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions with the future of Roshar on the line. The Knights Radiant have only ten days to prepare—and the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian to take Odium’s place has thrown everything into disarray.
Desperate fighting continues simultaneously worldwide—Adolin in Azir, Sigzil and Venli at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah in Thaylenah. The former assassin, Szeth, must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade. He is accompanied by Kaladin, who faces a new battle helping Szeth fight his own demons . . . and who must do the same for the insane Herald of the Almighty, Ishar.
At the same time, Shallan, Renarin, and Rlain work to unravel the mystery behind the Unmade Ba-Ado-Mishram and her involvement in the enslavement of the singer race and in the ancient Knights Radiant killing their spren. And Dalinar and Navani seek an edge against Odium’s champion that can be found only in the Spiritual Realm, where memory and possibility combine in chaos. The fate of the entire Cosmere hangs in the balance.

Reviews
Done at chapter 30
1By nmbr1seahawksfanAfter the 3rd or 4th consecutive chapter of woke garbage being shoved in my face , I quit.Best in the series so far!
5By Coder_markThis is my favorite book in the series so far. The only complaint I have is that Shallan is in it. But at least Sanderson found a way to stop her from ruining Adolin’s storyline too.A rambling mess.
1By 87spartanHundreds of pages to cover 10 days of time, introduce new characters and tear down favorites like Kaladin. Now the story continues through books 6-10? No. Way.Amazing
5By TekHunterA fantastic arc comes to a legendary conclusion. I loved all of these books so much and the journey these characters go on is nothing short of amazing!Disappointing
2By subway_readerI loved the other stormlight archive books. This one fell short. Too much internal dialogue and self reflection and discussion of mental health. Not enough action - in terms of things actually happening and interesting reveals, it felt like 1/5th of one of the other books. I read it to get some closure, but it wasn’t that fun.I. Am. Not. Happy.
2By jtmplumberWAY too much self help psychobabble. Hundreds and hundreds of pages of it. Also, ridiculous amount of modern terminology, like “therapist.” At one point a character asks the person who said it, what it means, and he said “I don’t know.” Wow. A real let down. I have more to say but I’m too upset. One read isn't enough
5By Steely1954I'm gonna have to come back in a year and re-read this to catch the depth and breadth of this conclusion to ARC 1. It is a great read with more than usual detail included to explain Roshar and the players therein, as well as touching Roshar's place in the cosmere.Stunning
5By RedFlowerjlhExceptionally well written, truly gripping. I lost many a night’s sleep because I was so excited to keep reading through the series. I’m sad to have to wait for the next installment.Masterful
5By Mathteach09I’m speechless. What an ending.Mile wide, inch deep
1By TytstsrspageliVery evident it was a rushed book, Constant woke spouting nonsense, what a waste of such great potential.
