Unending Love

This new series by Stacey Lynn starts off with a bang. Emily and Caleb are two immensely likable characters that I adored right away. She’s a strong, independent single mom who primary concern is son Landon. Everything she’s done in the past 4+ years is geared towards his well being. And introducing him to his dad, who she finds, basically by accident again, is what she cares about. Not how it affects her, only Landon. Caleb is very much the heart of his family. While we meet them all in this book, I’m pretty sure he’ll remain my favorite Kelley. He’s all in on meeting Landon and getting to know Emily agin, after their one night together. He’s certainly not perfect, but he learns to be a dad right away, and it fun to watch. Landon…what a cutie! He’s almost a little too old for not quite 4, but mom’s a teacher so I’m going with it! Every time he’s on the page, I’m smiling. While there’s some drama, not to mention a questionable move by a main character near the end, of course alls well that ends well. And I loved it, from beginning to end.

Caleb and Emily had one memorable night together over 3 years ago, and he always regretted not leaving his number. He never expected to receive an envelope from her with a letter and photos letting him know that he’s a father to a gorgeous little boy. As soon as Caleb and Emily meet again, that old spark is still there, but he has work to do to convince her that his intentions are good and that she and her son are safe with him, despite his fame as a professional hockey player. Will this second chance turn into an unending love for this surprise family? I know what you’re thinking… This is a common trope, right? One-night stand, no way to contact the guy, and so forth. It is, but this one felt refreshingly original in the way she found him. I won’t give it away, but it was a great twist that had me chuckling. Caleb was a stand-up guy from the jump, and picturing him bond with his son had me swooning all over myself!!😍 Their chemistry was great, but the pace was tempered by the plot, as it should be. The story was surprisingly emotional, as Emily’s story unfolded, which made the scenes with Caleb’s family that much more poignant. The found family vibe in this one brought tears to my eyes. When you add the great world building with all the compelling characters, from Caleb’s siblings to Gianna the priceless best friend, this is shaping up to be a pretty fabulous series!! This! This right here is my kind of read! A story that really brought all the feels. Full of emotion, family, love, heart, and passion. Right from the start I was pulled in and pretty much didn’t put it back down until it was over. I spent half the time reading this book smiling and the other half falling in love with this couple and their son as well as Caleb’s family members. This is Emily Russo and Caleb Kelley’s story and I loved every minute of it! Emily Russo hadn’t planned on getting pregnant when she was twenty-one, her son a product of the only one-nightstand she ever had, on the night of her sister’s bachelorette party. She also hadn’t planned on finishing up her college degree in middle school education and moving from Iowa to Colorado, with only the help of her best friend, Gianna. For three and a half years she’d tried to find him. All of her Google searches for “Caleb” came back with nothing. So she finally gave up a year ago. It had been hopeless trying to find Landon’s father. And then out of the blue Gianna called and said she had found him. There was no way. In all the places. She had to be wrong. Could it really be him? “I had a first name and the memories of one of the sexiest, greatest nights of my life, and then a goodbye kiss…” Caleb Kelley went from a minor league hockey player, to weeks later, stepping on the ice and getting to do his rookie skate on his home state’s ice arena.
